Hey, are these very hard missions the ones you need to do for the achievement?

No you just need to S rank both Normal and Hard mode of each stage the Very Hard modes are DLC.

@Zerobadniks No but there's an achievement for completing Sonic, Shadow and Silver's ''hard story'' and I have completed all the hard missions as Sonic but never got an achievement for it :S

Carefully read what I just typed you need to "S rank" every stage. This is VERY hard mode which does not need to be downloaded in order to get the achievements.

I love doing this stage on very hard, it really test your abilities to the limit, that's why I do it without using his other shoes.
