Shedinja is used in ubers because usually no sstorm or super effective moves... It doesn't have to be ranked ubers to compete...

Lol.. Ho-oh? Faster than Lugia? Better check that again. Anyways, I agree with "dagreatunkown" about Stealth Rock issues but you said that this is a 1v1 battle. If you ask me, I'd go for Lugia. First of all, Lugia resists Ho-oh's STAB attacks, which is not good. Let's say you'll use a Specs Ho-oh. Max SpA with a Modest Nature, and uses Shadow Ball on Max HP 0 SpD Lugia. Lugia only takes 42.31% - 50.00% damage. That Ho-oh was Specs'd, and Lugia's 0 SpA attack Thunder does 31.16% - 36.83% to Ho-oh

seriously? When I caught Lugia and Ho-oh on FireRed, Ho-oh's speed was higher. And I accidently put defense, I really mean't Attack for Ho-oh.

Ho-oh has a 90 Base Speed while Lugia has 110 Base Speed. Maybe you got a Ho-oh with better speed IV's and Lugia with "not so great" IV's.

When I caught the Ho-oh it had a Timid nature so it's boosted stat was Speed so that's probably why. And the Lugia had a Lax nature so it has a boosted Defense.

Lugia is a Psychic/Flying type, and Psychic's aren't resistant to Fire, or Flying. Besides I was talking about a 1 on 1 battle.

Basically a Un-EV trained Lugia versus an EV-trained Ho-oh, the Ho-oh would win, and vice versa. Un-EV Ho-oh versus Un-EV trained Lugia or EV-trained ones were fighting then well it depends on how nice the game is to ya, and how smart you are.

Of course. I have to agree with you on that. Now to end this argument. I'll say this, it only depends on the player, if the Lugia's player is noob then it would probably lose and vice-versa. Overwall in competitive battling, ho-oh is terrible due its x4 rock weakness making it hard to use after SR damage

and anyways, if ho-oh and lugia were in a fight, lugia would roost-toxic stall it out, due to its high SpD and possibly reflect up
