Ok, its official. Gave this movie a chance. Hope that it being free would make it easier to digest, but no. I really don't like the fact that they made a monster movie into yet another slasher movie. Sure the minor twist at the end, the real killer switching out, helped, ever so slightly. But it really doesn't compensate the fact that this is meant to be a monster movie. Not a slasher movie. Gorry doesn't equal scary. Blood may be gross, but it doesn't make me jump. Boggeyman = jump, not gross.

I never thought I'd be saying this, the first was a lot better. The "boggyman" was portraid much more like an actuall ghost/monster. An out-of-this-world creature with no real ties to the physics that contain the rest of us. This "boggyman 2" seems more like a slasher movie. Or some stunt guy in a half decent monster mask. Which makes you believe that it is all some sort of test. And of course, a couple of lines here and there make you see what comes next....

BUT what i was making note of was BEFORE she finds out her bro is the BG. her fear ends up making her stronger. she starts to work against the BG trying to fortify the patients. THUS making her stronger and less afraid of the BG.

but rightfully still afraid of dying. SO, the BG fails against her.

It was forgettable. The killing became very much a pattern like in the Jigsaw movies, so I suppose it is suiting to see Tobin Bell here, even though it is disappointing because I like the guy. If you are a Jigsaw fan, you should watch this as I am certain you will enjoy it.

The ending also much left to be desired. I did not get the emotional pull the director was going for. A few bad camera switches once the chases began to, to the point where it could distract.

The first half was okay though.
