I love the mockeries people make out of horror punk as if it was a created genre. NO! the misfits were horror punk and only Danzig pulled it off in such a way that wasnt tacky or corny. Its not about the blood and guts and violent themes. It revolves around that , yes. But Danzig wrote lyrics about real things and real angst in ways that you could imagine anger on different levels. For the psychotics. Skulls is the perfect example. Its an obsessive love song.
