Hehe I think your views on feminism are a little outdated ^.^ It might have been the case that feminists were "man haters" back when social, political, and economic rights were unequal. However, I have not actually met a single feminist to date who fits that stereotype. Not sayin its a conspiracy or anything, but I think it is a bit weird that so many people have that stance on feminism. Its like saying all christians are like WBC
I am a domestic god, I love my house work, as long as I'm not living with a pig. But I do all the repairs, upgrades and maintenance too. I have taken care of many children, (none my own). I'm a straight as they come, but I would be glad for a female partner to earn the living if she could make better money than me, while I run the domicile. I've done it before and liked it.
A 6'2" 200# feminazi, athlete, (who had no idea that I am a feminist myself), once got in my face calling me a misogynistic sexist male chauvinist pig, after I disagreed in passing with a raving tirade of hers claiming that men and women are exactly alike. While she was taking breaths, between spitty screamings, I warned her to calm down and back away. She continued yelling bullshit, and reached for my long hair to continue bashing, and I punched her in the nose.
Caught off guard, she tripped backward and fell on her ass. The place went quiet. While tying my hair back, I quietly asked her if she wanted to finish this outside. She sat there holding her nose, and said no. A cheer went up, and both sexes came over and wanted to shake my hand and buy me drinks. I watched her, figuring her to be pretty nuts, she might try from behind. Her 2 friends gathered their shit, picked her up, and escorted her out, telling her that she totally had that coming.
I figured it wasn't over, because a corner full of bikers, of whom I knew several were VERY much against the abuse of women, were giving me the eye and muttering with each other. I had to go over, and ask them what they thought. They weren't sure, til one of them piped up saying that they didn't have time to bet that she was going to kick my ass. Then they all lost it, and it was cool.
I worked with a woman once who was like that. Huge chip on her shoulder towards white men. Always harping on things out of the blue. She was my supervisor one day, I greeted her one morning with a cheerful 'hi boss'. She responded 'oh that really bugs you doesnt it?'.
Funny thing was ALL my supervisors were women, right up to the VP. She was simply a sexist bigot.
concerning the mic boost matter, i want to say that it actually is really an option in the audio configuration and completelly needs to be activated when the user has a headset like yours, take care
You're right that we've come a long way, but there's still this notion in many families that it's the woman's role to sit at home and raise the kids and a man's to work, which doesn't need to be the case.
Seriously though, a good friend of mine from jr high school, who I later met up with again in college was a very strong woman, and feminist.
I have to appologize because the quote stuck more in my mind than the name of who my friend was quoting, but it was "The true goal of feminism should be the end of feminism" (or something along those lines)
The meaning being that the world would no longer need the concept after the goal was reached.
i think in most senses i agree with you. personally i love men, not men bashing lol. this female likes to run the house hold, likes to have the man order for me, just silly tradition, but sometimes tradition is fun. most people dont get the equal pay they deserve, not that i think people should not be paid equaly...but the world is not perfect...and we should not expect it to be so....
