people say the zombie/vampires set the trap. They didn't. The whole point of this scene was showing that he was going crazy being alone. He set the trap himself and completely forgot about it, then when he saw the mannequin, hallucinated it moving its head and thought it was real
this film is so freaking scary. the scene inside the building when will smith is looking for his dog, and encounters a zombie hive (or nest) as they all stand in circle turned to each other...sleeping or something... and there is no music to give you a hint whats coming next...no music..THAT's the key... it gave me the CREEPS
At 1:19, the mannequin's right leg is pointing further right of the camera, but at 1:29, even though the camera angle is captured from further left, the right leg looks like its pointing more towards the camera. Oh well, I'm not sure if that was supposed to be another "delusional" thing like the head turn, but it's still interesting.
@jasonalexjohn Fred is simply a mannequin that appears to be moving to Will Smith because he is starting to go a little crazy due to a lack of human contact.
why is there so many discussions about whether Freds head moves or not when it obviously does, its supposed to show the guy is losing his mind hence having conversations with the manikins at the video store, i guess living 3 years without any human contact would do that to ya
it defitnitely moves, i reckon they just did that to freak the crap out of you, and start getting paranoid about everything - which it does freakin well
thats some scary shit
