  • @DuckyBadger lol

  • thumbs up if you watched them on april 15 2011

  • Who's the chef making the GOPHER PIE? Bret Bielema! On Wisconsin!

  • GOPHER PIE:

    1 Gopher, skinned & cleaned

    1/4c onion

    1/4c green pepper

    1/2tbsp parsley

    1tbsp salt

    1/8tsp ppr

    4.5tbsp flour

    3c broth

Cut Gopher into 2-3 pieces. Boil 1 hr. Remove meat from bones in large pieces. Add onion, green ppr, parsley, salt, ppr & flour to broth; stir until thick. If broth doesn't measure 3c, add water. Add meat to broth mixture; stir. Pour into baking dish. Roll enough to make it fit dish. Put dough on top of meat; bake 400F 30-40 min. or until dough is brown. Serves 6-8.

  • Oh, the memories. Such a wonderful night.....makes me sad.

  • ohhh i went to this but it was this year and it was in april all the instrument people were dancing it was funny but they are good and stuff and there was fireworks and the band dude came in on a lawn chair

  • omg the one this year was spectecular!!! it just blew me away with everything they did... 35th anniversery this year!! yeah = )

  • I always think there's no way they could top the previous year's concert and they always blow me away.

  • The Wisconsin band rules!

    GO BUCKY!

  • Go Bucky Go!

  • OH, I went to this. Every year, this band delivers. But this year(2008) was better than last year!

  • I watched the concert this past Friday.. he came down on the cheese head!!!! there was 12 of our school's student's there.. and we went with 18 of the HG students... it was a blast!!

  • This is awesome! I'm not from WI but the wife is ... but can someone fill me in on this concert? Is this a traditional band concert opening? Who's that coming down from the ceiling? Surely not the band director!

  • It is the director... he does this a lot. We get a kick out of it. It has become tradition lately.

  • He's crazy. :-)

  • We wouldn't have him any other way.

  • They play this concert three nights in April as a fund raiser. Allows the band to go to at least one road game a year.

Mike Lecrone was the band director when I graduated in 1979. I think he started in about '76.

    He's an entertainer for sure.

  • You Badger fan living in New York, by chance?

  • yep it is = ) always fun when he's around

  • GO BUCKY

  • That is not a faggot.. that is the director. He has written the vast majority of the music that the UW Bands play.

  • Everything we play on the field at football games, and as far as I know everything at the Spring concerts is arranged by Leckrone.

  • let's just say if i ever meet you i will make sure you never see light again.. mr brichrmer25

  • Love it! Go state of Wisconsin! Our weather might suck and the air might smell like cow manure, but we sure as hell are better than Minnesota and Illinois!
