I think the map should be maintained as it is because the technology that it uses, is in fact, an artifact in itself.

Im all for saving this, i do agree its behond its meaning, but its a part of history i see historic things destroyed on a weekly basis. living in Maryland preservation seems a low standard. i have visited this map many times and found it interesting. My suggestion is get a fund going, buy the map rent a building in gettysburg and displaying it for the visitors with a few other things, start your own museum, charginging a small rate smaller then the other museum if they do charge
