I didn`t notice it, but I tought what stalker was a name how they usually call zone explorers, but I guess those were brainwashed people, carried out of conter of zone by death trucks.. So I wonder why there weren`t any other stalkers in game or more info about them. Was Strelok the only survivor?

This is honestly poor game design, but kind of cool at the same time. I have completed SoC many times, (though a long time ago) and never even knew this room existed. Theres so much random stuff you have no idea is going on, so you end up missing out on a ton of information (Like this), and other stuff. This is important information that few have seen in the game

For example i completed CoP, while still not having explored half of Prypiat. I expected to atleast be send there on side missions.

w8 im lost,so strelok is the main characters job was to find the wish granter to do wat in the first place? and wat did he mean tat strelok is a bolt missin or somthin? was strelok created.the question is like why bother wit all this,and if one event lead to the story of the game,compared to wats realy going on is the story of strelok really tat big of a deal...unconscience,found in a truck,pda-kill strelok,finds out hes strelok,whose pda is it,why did it say kill himself. could it perhaps be some case of mistaken identity?.....maybe the character was an agent after all n since he had to go n kill strelok,and assuming the deed is done considering strelok's 2 closes buddies were killed as well, maybe the c-conscience dis figured or made everyone else believe that the character was strelok to hide their existance....or was strelok made to do the deed of killing his comrades himself?....it adds to the mystery i guess....

if im right strelok (and team) came to know to mutch about the zone ore manage to get past th ebrain scotcher, he knew to mutch.

now the idea of the failed experiment was to get strelok on a never ending mision to kil himself. it didn`t work becouse you now the information now for a second time ironic isnt it?

im telling you spoilers if you played clear sky then you are merc a character you play. your doing missions and stuff buuuttt sterlok wants to reach the zone and merc needs to stop him wich his mission was kill strelok... a e-mission (kinda storm) hited sterlok and merc lost his PDA and when sterlok wakes up he sawed a pda and grabed it he thought it was his pda and he needs to do his mission. kill sterlok and he doesnt know who sterlok is bcuz of the e mission

hey guys STALKER is the best game i ever saw and played. i wanted to see Zone too so i taked a fly to Ukrajina and a Dude called Stranger.He took me on a trip to NPC and some kind of buldings(maybe they was labs :D).When i saw the Dead city Pripyat it was sad,everybody there died :( i think and the horible trash everywhere if the Zone is keeping you to get answers do the same as i did go there....

yep, when the chernobyl accident happened in 1986, due to the amount of radioactive material spread over the land+the radiactive dust, an area called Zone of Alienation or just the "Zone" was made to prevent civilians getting in there and dying from radiation. Nowadays there's a tour from kiev around the zone. btw the people in pripyat didn't die, they were evacuated from the city in two days look it up in wikipedia :P

I'm sure you all know this already, but this game is based on a very awesome story by a russian sci fi author... It's called "A roadside picnic", and on wikipedia they have a link to a site where you can read the whole thing free of charge.

ok lol i saw a vid which told me to stick a gun into a door and get to the find monolith's secret task when i got to the blue things room and i sticked the gun again in the door ... So i got the i'm fuckin' free ending ... but i still really didnt get how that happened :D and why i had to shoot the things if i still got the you are free ending

I'm not sure, but if you deactivated the scorcher the reactor at chernobyl will blow up. I think you can't go back, but try it.

thanx anyway but i solved the problem with a walkthrough..i didn't get strelok's stash in the underground..and i've should have done that before i entered x16..that's where the task to meet guide activates if you have strelok's flash drive..that was all

After you find Ghost's body in the X16 lab you need to go see the Guide at the Cordon, who'll tell you to see the Doctor, who in turn tells you the truth about a lot of things, including how to get to the real endings.

There's a secret door that requires you to follow Strelok's arch and find the keycode flash drive which has the codes on it. You then approach the door and enter the right numbers to obtain the main story's plot.

I'm a habitual reloader. If I ever pause without full ammo in the clip, I reload. Better to stop and put up a full clip rather than run out at the beginning of a fight.

Yes. You will have to go through one more environment (with alot of Monolith and teleports that lead to various rooftops) to find the best ending STALKER has to offer.

This ending is on youtube somewhere. Go search for it if you wanna see it.

Yea, I didn't get the decoder for the door and none of my saves were back that far so... I was stuck with the "I want to be rich" ending. This one isn't so great but sort of explains. Meh, they coulda done better.

there is a way - bug style - to open the door without the decoder and avoiding th -wanna be rich*- end it is explained in the video "S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: How to open the secret door without decoder!" look for it .. its preety funnyand without any hceats
