What makes this song so beautiful is Chris is doing more than just singing what he wrote down on cue; he's feeling it.  You can hear how he loves the song when he goes "oh yeah..." in between verses. It's kinda jazzy.

When I first got into Soundgarden I only liked their songs like this, but now truly appreciate almost every song of theirs. Listen to his live performance in Argentina and u'll see/hear it, especially in songs like Hunger Strike where he hits them high notes very strong and clean
