It's a great track. Just remove the 'Opus 10' info: we now know ABBA never intended to name their next album 'Opus 10': Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus both state loudly that this was a 'title' a journalist came up with during a 1982 interview, and would never be a title ABBA would come up with. Fans have used this title on bootlegs ever since the first obscure tapes surfaced 30 years ago, but it is wrong. Check 'Bright Lights Dark Shadows' as one of many sources for this now :)
Well I think someone just put the song in Out Of Phase. It sounds exactly like my OOP version. If you listen hard enough, you can still hear the vocals.
Thanks for this..well done too.I used to have when the waves roll out to sea on an audio tape..a guy in Ireland used to sell them, all bootlegs ofcourse.I remember in the years before computers took over..i would wait on the postman delevering tapes from him.Exciting times.Paper dols is beautiful:)
Why can't you go directly to e.g. 1:00? You can go directly to 0:11, 1:53 and 2:27 for example but you can't hear "Bottom Coming Up" only, you have to listen to almost 1 minute before it comes!
They've thrown away many great songs! Would like if they finished every unreleased song and gave out an album. I've heard aldri i livet on a tv commercial for a norwegian cheese, but I never knew abba made it.
Aldri i livet is sung by Finn Kalvik from Norway but I believe it was produced by Björn & Benny and with Agnetha & Frida doing backing vocals of course
That version of DQ is not a demo or a backing track. There's a cassette I made many years ago of several ABBA songs where the audio output was altered by loosening the audio plugs on a CD player, so the music would still come through, but when done just right, would reveal a different layer of a song's mix, with the vocals sounding more echo-ey and distant while other instruments became more prominent. In this way, one could hear subtle things that you wouldn't normally notice in the full mix.
that's called the "OOPS" effect, I did the same thing with a pair of headphones, Dancing Queen sounds so great with this effect in place, the violin is so outstanding!
are those albumss you mentioned are officilly released? not aware of any of them except of the mythical opus 10 which abba never completed. appreciate info.

4:02--- She has a pretty "girly" and nice voice even when she is talking.
To anyone who might know, is the "original" song recorded with the backing vocals of frida and agnetha (aldri i livet)

"Aldri I Livet" was the official norwegian entry to the Eurovision Song Contest in 1979. I can't remember the artist's name, though.

Paper Dolls is releasable quality. Agnetha's demo was hugely significant in launching her career. Some very good snippets here.

The first song was the original verse of Just Like That

"Aldri I Livet" sounds like it would have been one of Bjorn's best lead vocals if completed. What a pity it wasn't :(

The first song (on the piano) became "Glöm mig om du kan" (sung by Per Myrberg) on the Swedish version of the Chess album! Interesting.
