When I type "sh winetricks" it comes up with things like "install a game" and nothing like what you get.

@N9neEditing It's true.. in effect with the latest release of winetricks you must select "Select the default wine prefix" and then "Install a Windows DLL or component"

UPDATE!! I successfully installed, launched and rendered with Sony Vegas Pro 10 on Ubuntu. The workaround is more complicated, about this will make a new video coming next weeks. Now I'm trying to fix video plugins, text and media generators, you cannot change properties for a damn graphic bug in the dialog box (a "fixme" not implemented in wine libraries).

AGGIORNAMENTO!! Ho installato, eseguito e renderizzato con Sony Vegas Pro 10 su Ubuntu. Il workaround è un pò più complicato e entro qualche settimana farò un video. Ora sto cercando di sistemare i video plugin, i text e media generator, per un dannatissimo bug nella finestra di dialogo non si possono modificare le proprietà (errore "fixme", non implementato nelle librerie di wine).

@achefefreitas I don't tested vegas 9 platinum but you can try wine appdb to obtain more informations, vegas 9 and 10 are known to not work. The language is italian, press CC for english subtitles

I has installed wine and winetricks, but if i type sh winetricks in Terminal i get a popup where ihave too chooseone of these: View help - Install an app - Install a benchmark - Install a game - Select the default wineprefix - Enable silent install - Show broken apps (e.g. those with DRM problems).

Which one must i choose??

@MissAsnicar No, c'è ancora un problema con la WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) che è richiesta da Vegas 9 all'avvio. Vegas 10 invece non può essere nemmeno installato, per incompatibilità tra il controllo di versione di Windows dell'installer e Wine (version.dll).

What the fuck is your deal the only thing that he/she did was find a way to run a program through Wine...

The reason he used a crack was explained in video which was that it could not be done online through Linux , and since you saw that he did not use a keygen it is highly likely that he had already purchased the software.

And even if he did Hack how the hell does that is failing as a linux user

@LacrossePlayer9001 What version of Wine are you running? No error output from the terminal? Try again with the latest build of Wine, also may depend on the distro or environment (gnome, kde, xfce, etc). For example, Compiz is known to cause problems.

Final Cut è un ottimo software e molto pro, però è troppo costoso e non mi piace l'approccio con l'utente, per lo stesso motivo non mi piace Adobe Premiere, quest'ultimo mi fa schifo proprio, decisamente. Li trovo ancora un pò troppo legati al vecchio stile Avid, invece con Vegas mi ci trovo bene, è uno dei software più stabili che abbia mai visto girare su Winzoz, soprattutto è user-friendly e molto personalizzabile. Purtroppo la divisione Sony che lo sviluppa investe pochi soldi.

@Kakarot992 perché se non hai un mac e non puoi usare Final Cut e usi Ubuntu, installare un programma del genere in emulazione rallenterebbe tutto... usandolo su Wine, puoi sfruttare meglio la potenza della macchina e lavorare meglio ;)

Perchè il mac fa cagare, lo uso con tutta la cs5 di adobe, peccato che su un pc che monta lo stesso hardaware il tutto diventa più veloce.
