  • I'm also reconsidering whether Paul is really unelectable in the general election. There's really nothing to attack him on other than his opinions. What's Obama going to do other than try to distort his beliefs? Ron Paul would destroy Obama in the debates, though, and would very quickly show tht he's not out to destroy Social Security, but that it needs to be saved even though it is, in truth, not constitutional. On taxes and the war, he wins easily. Maybe it's time to join the revolution.

  • Great analysis as always John. It's great to finally hear you talking about something besides Palin.

  • Herman Cain is brilliant, He knows how to work the media. All the advertisement around the cigarette commercial and now all the publicity around the sex scandal. If the harassment is minor, then no one will hold it against him except the liberals. The longer he can keep the scandal going the better the advertisement. 1 year ago no one knew who he was, now everyone know who he is and in his brilliance he didn't have to spend millions of dollars. This is a man who can get a lot done without much.

  • BARRY SOETORO WILL LOSE IN THE ELECTIONS TO EMPTY SODA CAN, IT WILL NOT EVEN BE CLOSE...

  • I hope the recent spike in John Ziegler commentaries/videos signal his return to radio!

  • @TheAquaBuddha

Me too, man. The JZ show was the best ever, by far.

  • @sskinner99

Politicians in Washington aren't going to actually redo the entire system just because one man happens to have a point. Perhaps if we really *do* have a major economic collapse, things will be different. As things are, though, the left and the right are both blaming either capitalism or socialism for the predicted event, rather than realizing our *blend of socialized capitalism* cannot sustain itself. I'm not saying one should not vote for Paul, just to realize it's a protest vote.

  • @sskinner99

I feel I should say something else at this point. The more I see of the candidates, the more convinced I'm becoming that Ron Paul may be the only one we can trust to actually stick by his beliefs and not sell us out like all the other politicians in the nation. Protest vote or not, I think I'll be voting for him.

  • @sskinner99

I don't agree with everything he says, but I seem to agree with him a lot more than the other candidates. The thing is, it's not that the media is telling me he can't win, it's that I know that unfortunately, he actually can't win. The country isn't ready to be told that Social Security, for instance, is unconstitutional. He may be technically right, but that doesn't mean the country as a whole doesn't feel like we need to do *something*, and this is all we've got right now.

  • @DreamWorldwide -HERMAN CAIN ALWAYS THE RACE CARD

I don't care whether Cain did it or not because it was 12 years ago and everyone has moved on with their lives. My only problem with this is Herman Cain keeps playing the Race Card this has nothing to do with race Cain always plays the Race Card everytime he's criticized there's plenty White Politicians accused of sexual harassment this has nothing to do with race

Herman Cain is a Race Baiting Hypocrite

  • @sskinner99

True enough about about being right on many things, but he'd be seen as a right-winger and thus wouldn't win the election.

  • @DreamWorldwide

I should also say that I also don't think he'd be able to get a lot done if he *were* to become President, due to the political climate. The same is true for Herman Cain (except that Cain strikes me as naive on the unfortunate truths about the ways politicians operate). But at least we'd know what he really thought, whether we agreed or not, and not what he felt would win him a popularity contest.

  • Ron Paul is too consistent for the news, and too conservative for the general election. I don't know if Herman Cain can win the nomination, but we'll find out. If he does, though ... I don't know what to say. Though certainly likeable, the man has no idea what he's talking about, and has made that abundantly clear. Alan Keyes was a *much* stronger candidate in 2000, and got almost no recognition at all. It wasn't "hip" at the time, I guess. If the Republicans nominate Cain, they deserve to lose.

  • great video john, I look forward to you're video commentaries

  • Hey, Zig, ltns

  • This accusation against Cain is a non-troversy.

  • Everything you described as the conventional wisdom is correct. Everything you described as not conspiratorial is the very definition of a conspiracy. This is why you're relegated to YouTube.

  • @nnix

He didn't say that Cain *will* win; he said that his chances are greater than people realize. Unfortunately, everything Ziegler said here is true, and it's just sad that so many people are in denial. And if you know what happened at KFI, he's "relegated" to YouTube because he wouldn't sell himself out.

I'm glad these videos are here, and I hope they continue to come.

  • From the UK Herman Cain looks refreshing. We are also suffering from politician fatique (expenses scandals, Europe issues, recession etc.) and hearing someone with a track record of business achievement talking in his folksy manner is a welcome contrast to a community organiser..

The biggest danger though is surely voter apathy.

  • @davlid2 "folksy manner" hah, what a sap!

  • This guy makes so much sense, compared to some crackpot like Michael Savage

  • Ron Paul doesn't have enough problems to make good news...which is sad.
