Sure, Eric Schmidt (CEO of Google) endorsed and campaigned with Obama druring his run for the US Presidency and was appointed last April to the US President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. But Google doesn't deal with politicians...
All what I'm trying to say is that we all lose time dealing with politicians. Google have to convince authorities in order to publish their products. But politician won't make the rules anymore.
And Inizzola, you can't say that Google is not changing the way we think. But I can say that MS is only copying and stoling ideas from others. am I wrong? :)
I would disagree that politicians won't make the rules anymore. Regulators in the European Union managed to force Microsoft to ship WIndows 7 without Internet Explorer 8 and to provide a ballot screen with up to 10 or 12 browsers. They are close to a deal now.
But sure, I can't deny that Google is innovating at an impressive pace and makes our life easier.
And yeah Microsoft is copying ideas from its competitors, as many companies do. That's how it works. Remember the iPhone and all the companies trying to imitate it?
