I played GT1 GT2 GT3 AND GT4 with a controller .... now I just bought a steering wheel for gt prologue and this gt academy demo ...... it loooks like GT 473674248 to me ... so much fun !!! so much much much ... shame on me playin all these gt series whith a controller
i would not reccomend doing this whith a steering wheel i have the G25 and i think that sony have made this pretty tough for any one who trys it as it is easy to slip out and spin whitch is easer to correct with a controller.
@ndrosario does a steering wheel really make a difrnce? im getin 1'38s for fun tbh n im using a controller? i duno if i should invest in a steering wheel. G25s are th sex apparently
This GT Academy demo is the 1st driving game I've ever played where the joypad controller is at a massive disadvantage compared to a steering wheel, because the throttle sensitivity setup for the controller is non-linear, The last 25% of throttle pedal travel is uncontrollable. Why this is the case when the brake sensitivity is perfectly linear on the controller? I don't know, I can only guess that once again big business has ruined the fun because it wants to sell more steering wheels.
In your opinion it probably is, yes. I've found the last 25% of the throttle pedal controllable, so I'm going to base what you have said on a lack of experience with driving games on the ps3, using a pad. If you want the true gaming driving experience, buy a steering wheel.
How about you just hurry up and bring the game out then I won't have to worry about becoming a real racing driver, which in fairness is more likely to have happened in the space frame!!!
Great point mate ! As much as I would love to be a race driver (more than just karts and cheap tin tops) I rely on GT as my fix (although Grid and Motogp* are fantastc racers). COME ON SONY !
does a steering wheel make that much difference? im getting a constant 1.39.300-500 just on my joypad, i haven't tried doing it in the untuned car yet
hey, yeah i got 1.39.003 with the logitech g25, trust me guys with a wheel its a whole lot easier, you still need skill on the playstation, but you can put the car exactly where you want it. i recommend the logitech to anyone its so realistic!
@o0XoJoRdANoX0o logitech its that realistic standard the steering is to light and so are the gears (but its the closest thing that you can get to driving a real car)
I scraped a 1:49.40, but i don't know how people got into the 1:45s. I mean, every time one exits a corner the back end steps out; so i naturally prefer the handling on GT4. I just hope that isn't apart of the finished product, because i love the Gran Turismo series & that characteristic would ruin it for me.
no disrespect to you but u just gotta take it easy when accelerating out of a corner, exiting a corner with full power is a no brainer, take ur time, slowly accelerate and even out the car, then go full power, trust me thats the best piece of advice i can give you, the best time i got was 1.40.582
I'll take your advice mate. As a former go-cart racer, i was brought up around the idea of braking into a corner (on the racing line, obviously)& accelerating out. It was the most efficient way & it always worked for me. It worked for me on GT4 & GT3 as well. However, this trial proves different. I dunno if it's the car or me.
thats a good time, i got 1.39.081 just now, but i fell i could improve alot more, but hey, this game is a simulator so this is what it would be like in real life, with the car trying to oversteer out of the corner, thats the beauty of this demo, and the game.
I suppose i haven't drove such car in real life. So i don't know how it should handle. However, i suppose you're right. Gran Turismo has always been accurate to a certain degree.

The GT:HD and the JPN GT5P demo did not respond the way GT5P Retail and GT Academy TT do, so obviously it's controllable via software

i got 1.47.207
the car severly lets the back end step out and i have to brake to control it wich waste time
once right at the last straight i lost control of the car cuz the bak end steped out i hit the barrier and that it
with the un tuned version i got 2.01.??
any tips for me
driving style more speed less braking
cuting corners (which i cant do in the time trial)
dont care if i hit a barrier i will still go full pelt
samsung50inchtv 2 years ago
use the blue line
it will help you know when to brake
try to brake alot and when you start to accelerate dont push hard to get more grip

i got a 1.38.508 lol damn u RMSF1!!! lol

i got 1.38.503 but still not good enough
i need a steering wheel instead of controller, the top 100 are using steering because it provides more control on the car
