  • Thanks for this...!!! I'm only 41 years old , but i´ve heard something very similar from a first Ormandy with his Philadelphia...! But I love Koussevitzky...!!! I have his rare Ravel´s "Bolero" (about 13 min...!) and his 2nd Satie´s "Gymnopedie" with the Boston Symph in two Victor records...!! Greetings From Argentina...!!!

  • I really liked this recording. Lucien Hansotte did a fine job on the second trombone solo. The trombone section was Jacob Raichman, Hansotte, and my teacher, John Coffey on bass trombone. It's different style than we would hear now a days, but very good. Thank you for posting this rare recording. What a treat!
