@evaant14 i disagree, my first bike was a 600rr that i punched out to a 630. bike was hella fast with all the mods, then i jumped to a gsxr 1000. now ive been riding for years and love the 1000 for the power but enjoyed the 600 for maneuverability. if you dont have restraint dont buy a motor cycle,

11 seconds? thats it on an r1. 600's will produce high 10s low 11s easily. A good rider on an r1 should be getting 9's.

yep. If u can keep the bike power planted too the ground, u can easily get 10's with a 600.

Yamaha r1s (i think from 05 to 08) have almost no low end power, if the bikes have stock gearing. Thats why he had poor acceleration from first gear. I have an 08 r1 & first gear take offs are pathetic. I recently removed the baffles and shortened the exhaust on my stock cans about 3 1/2 in & it seemed to make my low end power problem even worse. (by the way, my bike is completely stock besides the baffles removed & cans shortened).
