  • great piece of music!

  • This guys are are fuckin' brutal, impressive and lyrical simultaneously !!

  • This is sooo HAUNTING!!!!

  • tremendous november.

  • Holy shit what a song. I'm rediscovering all these great bands I used to listen too and its so fucking great.

  • That... DRUMMING!!!!!!!! XD

  • asum song!!!!

    asum video!!!!

its my 1st doom metal song i hve ever heard.

can sum 1 suggest sum good doom metal bands???

  • @blakvoid666 Swallow The Sun, Draconian, Paradise Lost, (sickest of sickest) The Foreshadowing, My dying Bride, Moonspell, etc.

  • @SpawnsyBoy Moonspell and Paradise Lost are legends, and those other bands are awesome too

  • @blakvoid666 October's Tide is amazing. Isole and Daylight Dies are okay.

  • great metal!!!!!!!!!!!!! hard fucking core

  • Does anyone know what tuning these guys use? It sounds like Dropped G but I can't tell

  • @LordHypnos93 We tune down to C, and drop the 6th string down to A#. So it's A# - F -A# - D# - G - C . Hope that helps

  • Peaple, please stop acting so subjective about Opeth and this band;they both play different styles of metal music and they provide an excellent layout and atmosphere.Enjoy this fantastic music\m/

  • Why are people arguing about Opeth?

Isn't it kind of subjective when it comes to which one is "better"? Some might prefer them, some might not. Don't get defensive because someone elses opinion isn't the same as yours

  • this band stills plays right?

  • @peeweeyourcat

yes, they still perform... they're in the middle of recording a new album, actually.

  • mmm please tell me if i'm wrong...

My Dying Bride and Novembers Doom are just the best bands in the hole fuckin' world.

  • didnt expect something like this from the US, sorry, but metal from US is very mainstream or just crappy

  • @Alejop1995 you would be surprised on the good bands we have dont pay attention to our shitty media haha we try not too also

  • @DevilDriverRulz yeah, Agalloch and 80s metal, but today... i really dont know of any more

  • @Alejop1995 You haven't heard any US metal bands then, besides these guys. There is amazing metal in this country. And, sadly, it isn't mainstream. It damn well should be, but there are too many morons in this country.

  • @sw0rd0fadvers1ty You're right man, the Sludge and Doom scenes here are great, just so far underground that no one knows about it. A lot of them are easily on par with European bands of the same genres.

  • cool, seems like i found another great band. this song kinda reminds me of disbelief. the guitar sound is sometimes pretty similar to them.

  • Chicago's best.

  • I'm posting this on my blog about metal fatherhood. Great song.

  • wow ...gooood

  • what tune are they using in this song?

  • @davometalrock its half step down to HELL \m/

  • Just heard this song and heard of this band today. I gotta say I am very impressed :D

  • I'm used to hearing their Doom Metal, but they play awesome death metal too. Opeth is the first thing I thought of when I heard the vocals

  • i agree most excellent intro,we must have this band a the download festival this year to show a lot of those crap bands how to do it

  • Intro=jizzed pants. :D

  • For reals!! Holy crap this shit kicks ass!!

  • HAWT.

  • Man theese guys are awsome

  • As much as I like the guitar work in this song, nothing gets me more pumped then the drumming especially at the beginning of the song! Fantastic song!

  • One of my favourites, great stuff!!

  • i do love harsh vocal from those. it is amazing...

  • try mourning beloveth... they have an amazing vocalist too

  • @Dreadfultime on the recommendation, i listened to mourning beloveth. but their music like more doom. this is not. novembers doom play more doomdeath. so here is the vocals are more impressive.

  • Awesome intro.

  • beautiful

  • Singer sounds just like Johan Hegg from Amon Amarth, anyone agree ?!

  • Johan has a bit more of a throaty quality to his vocals, and not nearly as clearly enunciated as Paul's vocals. Not negating Johan's vocals, he's great at what he does. I just don't hear too much similarity.

  • actually i do hear some similarity, even more in the song "RAIN" check it out

  • yes,but it is more brutal

  • a little bit not completley

  • yeah...whole novembers doom sounds just like doom AA x)

  • His vocals are more similar to mikeal akerfeldt's of opeth and bloodbath

  • I was thinking the same, but also add Johan Hegg from amon amarth into the mix.

  • i could see that. i was thinking morbid angel "where the slime live"

not thaat bad of a song though.

  • ya. they also remind me allot of the vocalist of Amon Amarth

  • agree xD

  • @lordavormer No man, to Johan hegg. fra Amon amarth

  • @Alejx666 He`s been kicking longer than they have, someone said exactly that and Paul was very clear about it when he said Johan sounds like him instead of the reverse

  • >:D That intro never fails to get me all hyped up.. and his vocals are just magnificent

  • Incredible. ND it's incredible.

  • Novembers Doom is so great, incredible music. they actually started out like twenty minutes from where i live, but that was long before i started listening to them

  • Just beautiful, also the best cover art for an album ever.. its just amazing

  • "perfection" is the only word as come to my mind when i hear them...

  • * * * * *

  • one of my fav ND songs, ND = win

  • fucking awesome, youtube just started playing ever N.D. song in its archives one after another.

  • Lyrics are awesome :) ...

  • Amazing band, very underrated..

  • First I ever heard of Novembers Doom was "autumn reflection", this took me by surprise but I love it.

  • "Only Those Who Have suffered Long, Can Find The Light Within The Shadows".

  • @acerb45666555 you only capitalize the first letter in sentences with english

  • @acerb45666555 yeah, man

  • Awesome song. First time I've ever heard of Novembers Doom; glad to say I love it.

    \m/

  • "A Dying Wish To Rise Again"

  • I'm in the military and was finally looking forward to seeing you guys, In Chicago no less, when I found out you pulled out. Needless to say I was slightly depressed by that. However, I wish you and the band the best, and I hope I can catch you on you're next tour. Stay metal.

  • Believe me mbloome, it killed us to have to pull out of the tour, we wouldn't have done it if it weren't 100% necessary. Really sorry that you won't get to see us, but with any luck we'll play again somewhere sometime that you'll be able to go! Thanks for commenting

  • Ah, I'm sure you will. I'm still stateside. I'm from Chicago though, so it woulda been epic in that regard. Again, my condolences to the band, and I wish you all the best.

  • whoever gave me those thumbs down is a cultureless heathen!!

  • nada interesante, simplemente otro amon amarth

  • amon amarth?? entre novembers doom y amon amarth hay una GRAAAAAAAAN diferencia... no son nada parecidos el uno del otro....

  • 1229Ms tipo ignorante, informate sobre musica antes de hablar.

  • FUKIN GR8 SONG

  • My favourite ND song, I love the powerful guitar riffs and Pauls voice is even more brutal then usual

  • hes the equal of the dude from Amon Amarth!!

  • A true exhibition of metal's raw power! November's Doom is the greatest Doom and Death/Doom band ever.

  • im mostly a black metal kind of guy but November's Doom simply kick ass

  • i would say it´s Death with some Doom touchs instead Doom/Death. They used to do some beautiful in their first cd´s and they still are great

  • This song is definitely very death metal-ish. But there's lots of songs on our last couple cds that are still quite doomy, and quite melancholy and mellow as well. We just mix it up a bit more than we used to, that's all!

  • Esta canción es Trough a Child's Eye, que no lo pone en el vídeo. Impresionantes Novembers Doom. Junto con My Dying Bride es de las pocas bandas que saben crear esa atmósfera tan especial

  • NICE!!!

  • la llevan pure doom death metal

  • awesome XD

  • One of the few bands out there that are both extremely heavy as well as emotional and deep. Reminds me of Opeth and Amorphis, except that they are far better than both of those bands.

  • @Gay14845 I don't know if I would go that far, but they are good in their own right.

  • @Gay14845 YES exacly most song dont even have meanings anymore there all about sex and drugs from what i can depict probably not even that :) :(

  • @Gay14845 Seriously? Opeth is amazing. How the hell can anyone be better than them...

  • @sw0rd0fadvers1ty

well there are better bands then opeth that's for sure but this isnt the one.

  • @Gay14845 LOL you think this band is better than Opeth??? your mother clearly drank too much when you were in her tummy.

  • @mrbojangl555 They play different genres of metal. Don't compare.

  • @mrbojangl555 To each their own, man. I don't understand why people can't just like and appreciate both bands, there's enough room in the world for both. No point in insulting someone just because they don't like the same things as you do.

  • @Gay14845

Bullshit man they are good but Opeth is a lot more intricate and technical. And the lyrics are a lot more poetic.

  • @EridianAtlanta

IMO, Opeth isn't that great overall, but especially when compared to Novembers Doom

if you think ND's lyrics are deep. by the book "The Wayfarring Chronicles" it explains the meaning of every song from their 1st album all the way to "The Novella Reservoir" you'd be surprised how deep the writing is. it's a good book. and is only like 10-12 bucks on ND's site (which includes S&H to the US) i have it & it's a good book, IMO.

  • @AnIconoclast well, lets not judge value only by fans eyes. opeth are between the greats and so are novembers doom. there's really no comparison between them.

  • @Gay14845 I disagree! Novembers Doom are indeed great, but It's very hard for everyone to be better than Amorphis and Opeth, moreover that you've forgot to mention bands, such as Moonspell, Paradise Lost, Anathema, My Dying Bride, Sentenced and Tiamat, which are highly regarded too and are not better, nor worse than Novembers Doom. Newer bands, such as Katatonia, Swallow The Sun and Insomnium also diserves attention and respect.

  • @Gay14845 Opeth is prog metal you douche bag, not doom.

  • @Megadedly he didnt say they were. hes just pointing out that Opeth can be heavy as well as emotional. he didnt say anythin about their genre, which doesnt even really matter

  • @Megadedly I thought they (Opeth) were "melodic death metal." Whatever, I guess the genre doesn't really matter as long as it provokes some emotion.

  • @GeneLattanzi No, Melodic Death Metal is from bands like Wintersun, Opeth is progressive.

  • @Megadedly Good 'nuff. Thanks.

  • this song = win

  • I love November's doom

One of the best death/doom metal bands for sure!

  • Awsum band, rejuvenated my passion ofr doom

  • Loooove it :)

  • Kuhr is also in this sweet avant garde death metal band called Subterranean Masquerade; check them out.

  • this song is like i listen to it with my soul....i am amazed

  • Luv it ! :)

  • Great song.

This is the band that got me into Doom.

  • His vocals remind of Dan Swano's

  • Paul Kuhr is one of the most underestimated vocalists in all of extreme metal.

  • I think his growl is unparalleled but the quality of his clean vocals varies from song to song.

It doesn't really matter anyway, they make great music :)

  • :X:X best

  • believe it or not the guitarist larry is my cousin, i was just at thanks giving with him, he is by far the coolest most laid back guy youll meet, im not saying this like you guys are actually gonne praise me or some shit just stating a fact i luv my cuz

  • who the fuck are you to say anything? you like Linkin Park. haha!

  • Love it >:]

  • this band definitely kicks ass. i own almost all the cds and cant put them down.

  • My friend/co-guitarist in my church's band played guitar and bass for them when they first started.

  • hey ! who was it ?!? my cousin is larry the guitarist, i know a buncha people he knows, like the craziest coolest dude willie !

  • David Sweeney.

  • the drum is the best

  • COOL

  • Love this band, i never get tired of listening to them.

  • great fuckin song yeah they relly rules nice vocal ana drumer!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good sound

  • I love this song.

  • great drums!!!!! great song!!!

  • You're right, the video for some reason comes out very dark online. The version that will eventually be released on DVD will be much clearer and looks much better.

  • the video it's too dark... but the music is great!

  • The video is supposed to be dark, if you couldnt tell by the utmost lack of lighting.

  • True, it's meant to be dark but it'll be alot clearer when we release the DVD, you'll see. It's too damn dark on here.

  • Doom is great.

Death/Doom just makes it better :D

    yay for novembers doom

  • no coincido con el resto de la peña, si bien no son awesome de la hostia, pero tienen un pase. Se han escuchado cosas peores. 3 stars
