  • amazing cage, wow impressive

  • What is that noise?

  • fuck me can someone get these geeks bellow off youtube please? i like the praying mantis though :D

  • nakka92 can suck my balls! your the idiot, starting petty arguments on youtube :) tut tut retard!

    any way, praying mantis owns!

  • Despite the arguing below I think we can all agree that this was a well done video and the mantis totally owns.

  • MANTIS is the best hunter on the insects !!!

  • this is not a mantis religiosa, this is a sphodromantis viridis! god.. so many people mistake them...

  • so its not pari mantis?

  • I said this mantid species(sphodromantis viridis) is always mistaken with another mantid species (mantis religiosa), not that its not a praying mantis...

  • Mantis religiosa is sometimes used as the category for every single mantid specie.

  • you're wrong mate, mantis religiosa is a single species of the mantid class. The general category for praying mantids you mean is Mantidae, and the other sub- category for empusids is Empusidae.

  • I know what i'm talking about FYI.

In europe mantis religiosia refers to the name praying mantis and all its species. thats why theres a slideshow on here about "mantis religiosia" that includes several other species. Mantis religiosia religiosia is the european mantis though, as a species on its own.

  • hmm, I see you are damn clever and you surely know what you are talking about. First off, calm down your spiffy nerves and learn how to argue like a mature person, with no dumb acronyms like FYI. Second, since you know so much about what you are talking about, you should know that it's not "religiosIA" it's "religiosA". Third, the word Mantis Religiosa is the scientific name itself, there is no double religiosa in it as you wrote, and it may be the popular name for praying mantis, but every

  • Oh, yeahhh your so high and mighty you cant use bloody acronyms when you spend your time writing messages about insects, and sorry if I missed out a letter in a word, thanks for pointing that out, I feel soo low now. Andf the double religiosa defines it as a species instead of a representation of all Praying mantises, why don't you look that up before you whine at me, tard.

AHAHA "I don't accept "I know what I'm talkin about" kind of answers." Go to hell then. 'Dare you look down on me

  • you're ridiculously childish and pathetic. I simply have no time to argue with a kid so immature that he even puts that he's 108 years old on his account. It's useless to discuss something when someone is just too ignorant and narrow-minded. You know, I feel sorry for your idiocy, and btw, before being a cocky bitch on youtube, grow some hair on your dick you little cunt.. "dare you look down on me" who the fuck do you think you are, the fucking queen of england?? give me a break you dickhead..

  • Oh come on, I just came on here to talk about praying mantises, not to be ridiculously insulted by some guy who goes on my account to look for things to judge me about. Stop spamming and go get some purpose in life, your pathetic. Your just filling this video up with comments people are gonna hate you for. Mantis religiosa has nothing to do with my personal life

  • ok, whatever you say kiddo, I have no more time to waste with you. I'm done with this. Just one last advice: grow a brain :)

  • ...single mantid species has its own common name. Note the Stick praying mantis, the orchid mantis, the dead leaf mantis...

  • and please do me a last favor: before arguing on something you have no remote idea, research for a while then come back with a plausible argument, I don't accept "I know what I'm talkin about" kind of answers.

  • I have a pet m. religiosa, they look different from this creature. They also look different from t. sinensis, the Chinese Mantid.

  • I think you may be right. The spot on the wing (clearly visible around 1:30) is distinct and there are no "eyespots" on the underarm like there are in m. religiosa. Doesn't matter, this is one of the cutest mantids on Youtube! (See the one with the wasp to see why ^_^)

  • finger-licking good...mmmmmmmmm!

  • coolest animal in the world.

    the fly i mean...

    jk!

  • NICE

  • dude that was a truly masterful piece of film

  • Creepy!

  • what r those green round things merged at the sticks?

  • egg sacs i believe. dont hold me to that though, my knowledge of the praying mantis is not too great.

  • Fig fruit

  • :)

    nice
