I have not worked for a campaign in 25 years but Obama has inspired me to get involved and I'm donating 40+ hours a week to see him elected. In the last week I have met two other people like but these folks have not worked for anyone since Bobby Kennedy was running for office!!! This man inspires change from the bottom up!
HEY - Quit screwing around on youtube, go to mydotbarackobamadotcom, create a profile, organize groups in your area, start events, hold a Rally, get involved, there are only 2 weeks until Tsunami Tuesday DO SOMETHING!!
I think democrats who don't support Obama dislike him because he doesn't give easy answers. He tells it like it is and that makes people uncomfortable. We need a president that is genuine! OBAMA 08!
Mr.Obama, for the first time I feel good about a presidential candidate. So I know that a lot of different people believe in you, and the way that you will approach politics differently. I hope that you will not forget about all the other people around the world that are oppressed, by foreign occupations. With power comes responsibility and I believe you will not twist the truth. It's About time for a Change 888
They should've left him last for that question, because I know Hillary would've said "MLK would've endorse me because ..." she never really gave an answer after Obama said that.
Thats what I am talking about!! What other president hoepfull you know will be liked by people from other countries?!?! Wake up America! Obama '08!!...Anything less is irrelevant!
This most definitely goes to the core differences of this campaign. Senator Obama's campaign is thriving with the help of grass roots volunteers. He clearly recognizes and appreciates their power.
Probably the best response of the debate. Obama understands that in a working democracy the greatest power of the President is the ability to inspire the people.
Power comes from what you can say to America, not what you can hide from it.
Obama speaks from the heart. Not Political BS. He is sincere and educated. Please America, read his two books, and study his history and stance! God Bless America in 2008!
This is the big difference between Obama and Clinton; Obama believes that the process moves forward when the leadership engages the people at the grassroots, whereas the Clinton machine believes that the process operates from the top down, through an insiders' club of spin doctors, triangulating consultants, and lobbyists.
I think it's really interesting what he's doing here. For those of you who don't know he's addressing the MLK/LBJ thing. Not only do I believe wholeheartedly in his message, but I think this [what he's doing] is genius politics.
and he has always thought this way. His campaign never changed its grounding because of what was happening. He always believed that people were the root of change. He believe in us to help him get elected and to help change society for the better. We need him as our president. Look at his web page. He's not asking us to believe in what he can do in Washington, but what we can do.

He totally owned in his response to this question.
I just get more and more excited with each event he appears at, and more proud of my choice to support him all the way to the White House.

I only wish Hillary answered this question before Obama. Her answer would have been totally different I'm sure.
She never really said why Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King would (or would not) endorse her.
It's funny to me how she danced around the question.
