My rottweiler has parvovirus right now, hes been having it for 1 week now... how long time did it take for your dog to start eat again? and how long time was he rly sick?
@ArnoldSaysRelax Heeey, hes alll good now, thanx for asking :) he had parvo for 16 days, with no food or water, he looked pretty messed up, he lost 15 kilos on those days. So he was basicly skin and bone, but 2800$ pet doc fee without insurance, and he got all better ;) my wallet died tho ;P hes a big boi on 55 kilos now, how is your rotty doing by the way?
@crusleif im glad your dog is fine now, yeah my rottie has parvo right now im worried about him cause he's barely 5 months. but hopefully everything would be okay.
@ArnoldSaysRelax make sure he gets water from iv with glucose in from the animal doctor, he needs 1L water everyday, when u have him home, try to coock chicken and rice to him, with no spices ofc, and be patient, when the infection is over its hes getting healthy in a few days! so dont give him up, NO MATTER HOW BAD I LOOKS! i told my vet to kill my dog after 15 days, and he said, lets wait 1 more day, and that was the day he got better :) keep fresh cold water aviable to him all the time!
our puppy is doing well again we decided it was for the best for our puppy and was able to work out money with the vet and the breeder puppys got parvovirus and the dad of the puppys got parvo so they didnt help but our puppy is so happy now intotal at the vet he was in there for 9 days ;( the cost was over 1500.00 but was well worth it because we love our puppy
my puppy has parvo i only got hm for 4 days and he got very sick we sent him to the vet paid 686dollars couldnt afford to keep him in ..took him home nursed him for a day he got terrible sick so i had to give him back to the vet ..they said next time i did i would have to give him up so eitherway i lost him ;( but aleast he is goingto live ;) ..we called his breeder he said to us he was going to pay for his vet bills so ..we are very happy and we might get our puppy back if he pulls thru
my rott had parvo and survived what did u feed him to get his weight back?

@crusleif yeah thanks for the tips. My boy is better now though, he seems to like the chicken with rice.
