very very high battery savings running android on any computer that supports windows. it is way overkill, an os meant to run on a sub-1ghz platform.

I tried Windows 7 on my laptop, and i loved it ^^. Its much faster than windows vista. And much more "noob friendly" + more nice UI.

@BSRGodfather Because you don't have to do almost anything. You just have to burn downloaded android on any cd, and bood from that cd. The end... You can also boot from flash drive etc...

I would almost prefer to use this on my netbook rather than xp. Except I want a full browser, it needs to be able to do everything, like flash, and google doc support ect. When that happens, I would be more than happy to run it on my netbook, I love my android phone.

It's the "world clock" application. I don't know if it comes with the G1, but it seems to be preinstalled on all the development builds I've seen

Of course it's going to run slow, it's running from a USB thumb drive! As far as the sexy comment goes, keep in mind this interface is designed for a tiny mobile phone screen. With some thought/design and a new interface for largers screens and different devices this could be very cool.
