George is truly one-of-a-kind! I've listened to him from the beginning...saw him twice in the 80s -- once at the Bach-n-al (sp?) in San Diego,CA and then at Iguanas in Mexico of all places! At the Bach they played so loud they blew the speakers out and we had to wait like 20 minutes to get going again. I'll never forget watching George play just feet away -- he came out with Platinum (for real) hair and a tan that was insane! Truly my favorite guitarist of all time!
