I'm not a big fan of the "ref you suck chants" maybe a few boos or something like that, but do you honestly think for the rest of the game the refs will side with the home team?? Any questionable calls or judgement calls from that point out will tend to go to the visiting team. I know if i were a ref and heard those chants, in the back of my mind i would think "You'll see how bad i suck for the rest of the game"

The atmosphere in Reynolds is great, way better than the rbc, wish we still played there in many aspects. The refs sucked this night and toward the end it got ugly with numerous T's being handed out. @atomisten I dont know what kind of league you reffed, but players DO make theatrical falls, not for fun but to sell a foul. That is a part of basketball and one that any half decent player is very good at.
Referee's can listen to players viewpoints but they cannot change a call that has already been made based on players protestations, to do so would be to instantly lose all authority and control over the game. They can however recieve advice from fellow refs to possibly reverse a call.

Best college basketball atmosphere in the country (before NC State left it to go to the RBC). Most players who played both at Reynolds and Cameron Indoor said that Reynolds was louder. That arena created 2 National Championships.
