  • i miss the old version of the ride with sea monster :/

  • I went on this yesterday for new years with my family (cousins) it was awesome I loved it!

  • Giant squid from the 20k under the sea ride ruined these rides for me years ago, deathly afraid of giant squids now.

  • does it really go underwater??

  • @TwinklesMe Yes, at least the part of the submarine you're sitting in is underwater. The very top of the submarine stays above water.

  • amazing ride!

  • 8:23 scared me shitless when i rode this.

  • (What I usually think at the dock) Hmm... Hey look at that! Made-in-China.

  • Last time I rode it, the angler fish and Bruce scared me! >~< But the jellyfish were mindblowing... O.O

  • 3 People couldn't find nemo

  • 3 people lost nemo

  • you know that the subs are only half in the water

  • i dont understand any thing

  • Three people are just mad because they can't find Nemo.

  • i want to find Nemo... oh i already did cause i went on the ride too:)

  • 3 people are dip shits

  • this looks great

  • I wish I could go on this! But I would totally freak out! the submarine is really underwater? don't you run out of air? I start choaking while standing in a elevator D:

  • @floridaorelse yes and no the submarines top is out of water so your not fully underwater and they pump cool fresh air right next to you

  • @paintballftw69 oh , thanks ^^

  • @floridaorelse

Also, if you're truly claustrophobic, and if there are no handicap people waiting in line, you can as a cast member if you could go in the handicap area of the sub. It's larger.

  • Wow this video was so slow I was playing snake the whole time.

  • ugh! i went to disney land when i was in 3rd grade but i was too chicken to go on this ride :'( now i wish i did

  • apparently the old subs used to be petrol powered

  • Do you sit on only one side of the ship or are there two sides? And if so...doesn't that mean that each side is mirrored in the entire ride?

  • @GardenStateOfMind

There are two sides. And yes, everything is duplicated on each side. Its just one of those things that people aren't supposed to think about.

  • Neat ride!

I have a feeling the reason they painted these submarines yellow is to, in part, prepare for the upcoming remake of The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" movie. I wouldn't be surprised to see this ride enhanced and transformed from Finding Nemo's Submarine Voyage to The Beatles' Yellow Submarine Voyage. I wouldn't mind either. That'd be nice! If Disney won't be permanently giving this ride a Beatles theme, they should at least temporarily change it during the 2012 England Summer Olympics.

  • @kenpotensin Fortunately, they won't be. Disney dropped out of the Yellow Submarine project not long ago due to financial issues and the flop of "Mars Needs Moms". I'm glad, too, since I'm going here next year and I really want to go on this. It's also a very popular ride, so I don't see it getting replaced anytime soon. Anyway, how can you give a ride like this a Beatles theme? Projections of them singing underwater? I think not...

  • @DisneyWorld85

In the outer lagoon, there are some fish around, but they all look worried and are hiding because Darla is there.

And the rest of the ride is not really like a movie, since there are physical sets and figures as well. You just can't see all of the details in this video.

  • @DisneyWorld85 At least they still have subs...

  • am i the only one deathly afriad of the angler fish in this ride?!

  • @callthepolicewalrus i kinda am lol and my little bro hides when he sees it

  • i wanna go on this ride so bad !!!

i wnt there 3 years ago and it was still under construction , and then i went back on january this year and my boring cousins wouldn;t go on the ride 8(

    i love finding nemo

  • @31iidna If you do ride it, try to sit in the inner circle. You would see things that you would not get to see on the outer circle (like Darla for example)

  • happiest place in the world.

  • there's only one song to song on this ride....Yellow Submarine by The Beatles lol

  • How does Disney do this? It looks like you are actually underwater!

  • @theaterqueen95 It's because you're in a submarine that actually goes under the water.

  • @superwually-

Actually, TV screens are not used. The ride uses new projection technology. :-)

  • @theaterqueen95-

The submarine is really underwater the whole time. For the scenes with the animated characters, they use theatrical tricks and state of the art set design.

But yes, the submarine is in fact underwater the whole time. :-)

  • @mlpMerriweather--

But there are still physical sets and some animatronics, so its not just a movie.

I'm not trying to be nasty, I'm just sayin'. :-)

  • The last time I went on this ride, there was a young boy sitting next to me; he was truly enchanted by the ride. He loved every minute of it. His parents liked it too.

Thanks so much for getting such excellent footage!

  • There is a lot of cool technology and interesting set design involved with this ride.

I know only a little about how its done, but I don't want to spoil it.

I will say though that the submarine is indeed underwater the whole time.

  • @DisMupPix010 hey, can you tell how it works please? :D I'm doing a research project for school. U can personal message me if u want ;D thanks!

  • Amazing - I wonder how it works?

  • u go in a submarine

  • you go in a submarine and then it gets projected. i don't know exactly how though but it is really cool. buy hey its disney for ya

  • You sit in the submarine that takes maybe 20 people per submarine, and the you go along a track like you would a roller coaster. No matter where you sit, you'll be seeing the same things as everyone else on both sides. The ride also maintains the same speed and height-the bubbles that surround the sub as it "dives" or "ascends" cause an illusion to make it appear like you were diving deeper or rising to the surface.

Its something Walt was a master at.

  • This ride is awesome! So glad people like it too!

  • Brilliant!!

  • I love it!
