I actually liked "The New Adventures of He-Man" cartoon. Not as much as the original, but I thought some of the stories were a little more complicated than the original. Still, not quite the same feel. And the toys for that series could never replace the old-school figures, in my opinion.
hey i come from greece and i really aprecciate your video.as a child i used to watch this all the time but didnt have the oportunnity to find all these versions of he man..i had bought castle gray scall though....anyways..thanks again
He-Man did not "fizzle out" in 1985. It went into syndication from 85-90 on many networks, especially USA Network. Syndication = TONS of money, which is a reason why there was a 1987 film and 1989 New Adventures Series.
Oh my god what an excellent video!! Love the way you tell about these great figures :) Absolutely perfect! I was a child in the late 80s and He-Man was just the best :) Thumbs up from Denmark! Super
Unless you count the zoids and the meteor creature things, I only count 12 figures that I did NOT have... sooooo depressing now.... and the only castle/playset I didn't have was the Towers of Eternia.... it was HUGE!!!
Ummm... you guys do not need to know how old i am but... until P2P, TNTS and Plastic Treasures I didn't know about He-Man. But I'm gojnna search for all the He-man episodes including The New adventures!
You should definately look into having your local public access TV network run this during one of their time slots. Even if they can only work it into overnights, people will see it and talk about it. If demand for it grows, it could roll into early evenings or afternoons (maybe). I grew up with He-Man. I was 6 when the first ones came out and started collecting them right away. Other kids would always argue with me when I tried to explain the cartoon was actually based on the toys.
nostalgia flood :D i had the last version of he-man and loved it to bits ! the boots were a particularly interesting design with those wingy around the knees.
Like I mentioned on the other video I had the first new adventures of He-Man figure.
I've been wanting to check out the show from 2k2, apparently its great. When I bought the "best of" Masters of the universe DVD I hated it, should have figured since I wasn't exactly a fan as a kid either.
I'm surprised there aren't more He-Man variants. I guess it started more in the late 80s to crap out 50 variants of the hero.
Good vid, and the intro really sets people up for being nostalgic. I know it was also in the other vid, but I forgot to comment about it on the other one.
Every action figure of mine is a plastic treasure . .
