Interesting, nobody seems to like Zhou Xun's version. :)
I actually really liked her as Huang Rong...I mean, I haven't seen the 83 or 94 versions, but I've seen pictures, and they look a bit too...tame. Also, I haven't seen this new version either, so maybe I shouldn't comment on this...but Lin Yichen seems a bit too...modern for this? A little bit too "cute".
But that's just my opinion...it might change after I actually watch it, haha.
@geniusgurl777 I enjoyed Zhou Xun's version ( I did not like that version of Guo Jing though, he acted too stupid to be called naive and innocent), but I enjoy Ariel's version as well (and Hu Ge is pretty good with Guo JIng, although he seemed a little too smart at the end, perhaps it's character development).
LYF already acted as XLN so it wouldn't really make sense for her to play HR. Her acting abilities aren't at the point where she can play such a diffilcult character like HR. In looks or acting does she fit with the role. I like LYF but heck no she aint suitable. Ariel Lin's did a great job portrating the cute, witty and intelligent HR. I much perfer her than Athena and Zhou Xun but she still hasn't surprass Barbara.
but to say the truth liu yi fei isnt suited 4this character either, because shes more of a大家闺秀but eventhough still luv liu yi fei but eventhough ariel may only be fit for those airhead characters she is kinda of a better huang rong i mean think about it isnt huang rong cute and smart and isnt cute is wat ariel is best at and huang rong's elgance i bileive ariel has her own style or presenting it i mean she might not be a bad huang rong but the best huang rong ever is either 翁美玲or athena chu

Liu Yi Fei is more of a angel lah not suitable for Hua Rong but anyway she acted Xiao Lun Niu which much suited her GO ARIEL

此版黄蓉很特別 黄蓉演的太好 古怪可愛 聰明 有時惡惡的 但大事其實都依郭靖 給我新想像 是從前想不到的 但真實感很重

barbara-never seen loch 82, but i do believe it must be classic and like people say, the best!
athena--vague memory of 94 loch, but i remember athena portraying huang rong's vulnerability very well
zhou xun--emphasizes huang rong's intelligence and impishness very well
huang rong- the "cute" huang rong. fresh and new interpretation, many won't like it but i trust ariel's acting prowess

I wanted Liu Yi Fei to play in here with Hu Ge. I thought they made a cute couple but no offense to ariel lin's fan. I'm not hating on ariel.
