Sorry, I don´t like this. I have respect for this staging, but it´s so far away from the true spirit of Yiddish singing.... it doesn´t have it.

the performance is an exam for a school called 'Herman Teirlinck', it's not a normal performance. normally she sings dutch songs, but the teacher want to make it a bit harder on the students with foreign languages. more songs she sang, 1 in italian.. probably not perfect either, but I don't mind , she passed :)

Of course Yiddish is from German, but as somebody who speaks both lang I can tell you that this sounds to me like German and not Yiddish.

You probably speak both languages better than I do, but it's worth noting that western Yiddish sounds a lot like German and not much like Eastern (Polish, Litvish, etc.) Yiddish.
