yea that is a gt 500 it would take no mods 4 the ls1 to beat it it runs in the 12s also stock and does 0 to 60 quicker then the gt.

I agree. Does it really count if your car is modded up? And looks like the guy missed a shift anyway. Seriously though I can mod a civic that could smoke a GT500, but implying that a civic is a superior car is a weak. Not to mention that the transam was the ugliest muscle car of it's day, and that's not just my opinion the american public agreed by not buying it and it was discontinued.

does it really count if your car is modded up? last time i checked a supercharger is a mod. that is a the dumbest question i've ever heard!!! this guy probably spent maybe at most 20,000 for his car as apposed to a gt500 at 40,000... so mods do count! if the trans am had a supercharger on it this gt wouldnt be able to keep up!

Big deal if it had exhaust work. It still wouldn't full cause the LS1 to respond that way unless it was properly tuned and was a full exhaust kit from SLP which would give it 400 HP/Torque. No it wasn't...watch Top Gears video for it and you will realize that the GT500 is a piece of shit and when they tested the one Ford sent them it didn't even have anything close to 500 HP/Torque and the weight is a killer.

well weight means alot but still that doesnt mean the trans am ws6 is better ive outrun 98-2000 stock trans ams "V8s"in my 06 ford mustang gt when it was fully stock at 300hp/320 ft lbs of torque but since ive gotten bolt ons and new exhaust i rape pontiac fbodys my cars weight is 3,450 lbs a ws6 is 3,442 lbs weight mattersalright btw fords a dead company lol but their stangs sell fast last i rember the trans am, gto, monte carlo are never bein made again gm sucks
