It could work if you introduce or move to different games as the show goes. If not, after a few episodes the viewer would grasp how bland and banal the characters really are. (After all, they are built for their own purpose; Mashing them together would result in a fiasco.)

i love how Kid Icarus looks the most accurate out of the 3 video game characters of him, Simon and Megaman. i think thats because nintendo had licensing issues with Konami and Capcom when they made this show and wanted to include their characters without their permission. sooo they ended up making Simon and Megaman looking completly different to avoid law suits. however, Nintendo already owned kid Icarus meaning Kid icarus could look as accurate as possible.
