what gen eclipse?, and the Eclipse has more potential then a 3000gt, even know its 4 to 6. The fastest DSMs are faster then the fastest 3000, and also supra and skylines.

@TimFanslau I don't know if I agree with that statement...in terms of "potential", the 3000GT has two more cylinders and more displacement. The highest horsepower DSM's are probably single turbo, whereas most of the 3000GT tuners (including myself) choose to stay with a TT setup. Less lag for less top-end horsepower. And last time I checked, Supra's hold WAY more records than DSM's for speed, from 1/4 mile to the Texas mile.

@jacob50566 Street "legal" or not, that car made 6.97 1/4 pass on a 2.0l 4G63 @ 1400 HP....dude 350hp per cylinder on a 2.0l...stock bore and stroke. A VR-4 even @ 1200hp doesn't stand a chance in hell. That top heavy AWD setup would get demolished by Brent Rau's RWD eclipse. Just to put the icing on the cake. Any car with a cat delete is no longer street legal...that's practically 95% of turbocharged tuner cars.

@Pentecostal19 a VR4s stock 1/4 mile time is 13.7, compared to 14.9 for a 2G GSX, and 13.3 for an Evo which uses the same engine as a GSX just with a bigger turbo and more boost. For the amount of money I save buying a GSX, I can grab a 16G, boost controller and larger injectors and be running 12's all day. If you want to argue stock versus stock, there are plenty of Honda owners on street nights running stock cars. When you realize the rest of buy these to modify like men...

What kind of eclipse was that?? it must have been a gs or rs(420a)NNOOWW 6 cylinder, twin cam 4 valves /piston, twin turbo = 220 horsepower eclipse gst or gsx 4 cylinder twin cam, single turbo, 4valves/piston = 210 (which means burning less fuel) AND with two or 3 bolt on mods it will keep up with big brother =)

@chap00123 YOU do some research.. You are way off with your numbers. The Vr4 puts out 300-320hp (depending on year) NOT 220.. WAY OFF.. The vr-4 will roast a gsx all day long stock for stock.

@washablemarker789 That's a Base/SL not a VR4.. Look under the spoiler, no active aero like there would be on a 95/96 which this is. Kinda sad for the eclipse.

I've owned a Base and currently have a 95 VR4... in all honesty if it were a Vr4 you would have lost sight of it by the end of the vid.
