I for one will no longer be purchasing any more Microsoft products. They Support SOPA & PIPA. Not only that But windows 8 is supposed to depend heavily on "Cloud Computing" & Your activities online can be tracked, monitored, & traced without reasonable suspicion or a court order. It just looks a bit over the top. I mean of course you still have the classic desktop mode unless you click the start button but it seems like they went over kill. I'm not sure what I expected from Windows 8 but I was hoping something very new. I guess that this is the new school look of things so we'll see how it turns out.

The Ribbon interface is nice, but it's a bit bulky to be applied to everything in Windows Explorer. I would just put them in the stock applications that ship with Windows (Word, Paint, etc).

@zNelson24 Exactly. I can see the applications of the Ribbon in the Office Suite... but putting it in the Explorer is just plain awkward and takes up WAYYY to much space.

Hasn't the success of Google Chrome taught them anything? Minimalism is generally the way to go. In the case of the explorer, we don't want a million options jumping out into our faces in the form of a "ribbon." We just want to see our files and a small menu that can be summoned when needed.

Eh, it seems like microsoft has tried to force features into pre-exsiting things. All the new options they give you, you can already do it now on windows 7 without the bulk of the new explorer window. Also the panel view is a bit stupid, trying to appeal to the people who get confused with navigation which is really easy as it is, and the new start menu is going to make me kill children.
