  • CERCL

  • cercl

  • i like those machines. but i often wonder, how might they get those machines into a multi-tier paddy field to plant there? have you seen anything about this?

  • This is why I love and mourn to go to Japan, cool stuff and VERY polite.

  • you would only see this in japan

  • Very interesting and cool video. Thanks!

  • I saw that machine thingy the other day but i didn;t know it was for that! Thanks for revealing it's secret to me.. :D

  • Thank you for the video. Very cool tool.

  • What an amazing machine!

  • very interesting.

  • I just kind of assume that most agriculture is done via machine by now, but it was cool to see how it's done. Thanks for sharing.

  • wow that's impressive. it's like a rice sprout injector loaded up w/ a huge magazine of sprouts, on wheels.

  • I though rice patty was just ta or den for the kanji 田.

  • :O totally the most awesome thing I have ever seen... Awesome :O

  • Damn! Thats a hell of a machine there !!! Never knew you could actually build something like this ... incredible!

  • wooooooooow crazy! did you know pineapples dont grow on trees O.o

  • Wow nice vid. I didn't know that they are doing this with machines. Machines and robots are taking over the world :O!!! :P

  • lol, 1:25 , your poor family patiently waiting for you in the car

  • Looks so cool! I thought they did it by hand too

  • いつのまにかユーチューブチャネルのなかでヴィクたー先生のが一番好きになりましたよ

  • @rtobin7

    嬉しい!

  • 思ったより面白かった!

  • That was way kool! Thank you so much for sharing that. I had always thought they did all that by hand, but i guess not. That actually looks like it would be kinda fun to do.

  • Damn!!! lol I've always thought it was done by hand as well!!! that was awesome!!! :o

  • damn that was a cool machine!

  • I did not know that. That WAS cool!

  • that was rather entertaining, and I have no idea why.

  • yeah!! the old outro music! i still love that. great video. cercl

  • very nice!

  • cool

  • Lol, I saw this on Kurt's channel before but it never ceases to impress me how much more efficient this device makes the planting process. Very cool, thanks for taking the time to stop and film it! Vic, was this farmer a friend of yours or did you just randomly pull over and ask if you could watch?

  • thats pretty neat.

  • Cool invention. Again by the Japanese :-D

  • Doesn't Japan have robots to do all the farming?

  • great vid

  • How interesting - always wondered if they did have a machine for that being Japan. Thanks Victor.

  • Wow! That was really cool...Nice find.

  • Ezy Rider

  • nice

  • I like, I like! That machine was pretty cool.

  • That is awesome.

  • Wow.. that was pretty interesting.. thanks for sharing. =D

  • Nice machine, saves allot of work, I didn't knew such thing existed.

    Thanks for the video.

Btw I need rice or bread otherwise I don't feel like eating you know, lol

  • Really cool.

Im surprised that that vehicle had such narrow wheels.

Usually for mud, most vehicles get equipped with fat tires.

    But hell, if it works....

  • That's really interesting! The wheels are amazing as well as the planting of course.

  • Ehh?? I was always told it was done by hand.

  • Watched, rated, commented. I m happy to do all this crap for you, Victor.

  • So that's how they do it, neat.

  • I'd heard of rice planting machines but never have seen one in action. So cool.

  • I'd love to volunteer on a farm & get to play wth one of those

  • Very NICE!!!

  • cool !

  • damn.

  • thats coool great vid

  • japanese swamp buggy races next

  • That thing moves fast!

  • OMG machines are finally doing something productive!!

  • Good video. It's amazing those tractors are made to drive through mud nearly as deep as it's axle.

  • When I lived in the "Inaka" (countryside) I used to love riding my bike through the fields on the small roads, the japanese countryside is amazing, i truly miss it, thank you for sharing this video, very cool machine, the japanese are very ingenious! peace.

  • YEAH It is very interesting, but I have seen it many many times, you must not get out to the country side very often =P Could you imagine doing that by hand? it would have taken them days to plant what takes 15 minutes now.

  • @FindMeInKurume Same here. I've been here a little over a year and I see these machines parked all over the place. There are also smaller machines (that I haven't seen used, yet) which appear to be a walk-behind style. It's funny, because, in an effort to get my channel (and spirits) active again, my mom requested coverage of the entire rice planting and harvesting cycle. Victor, you need to get on a 50cc bike and just get lost in the countryside for a day. It's and unbeatable experience!!!

  • @ItchyKneeSon I agree, the country side of Japan is not only beautiful but so much to see and experience in seeing it. Thanks for commenting back to me =) Victor, get out there =) I know your time is limited but you need to book a Sunday to just go for a bike ride and nothing else. Enjoy it, life is too short to miss this stuff =)

  • @FindMeInKurume Word. And, word. ;)

Mistor Victor, as Mr. Andre3000 and Big Boi once advised, "You need to git up, git out, and git sumthin. Don't let the days of yo life pass by."

  • Impulse to do some rice farming.

  • I thought it was all done by hand as well, very cool Victor. Thanks for sharing it

  • Wooowww!! That was awesome....that's why japan have images all over the fields

  • One of Japan's "hidden machina".

  • wahhh sugooi!!! 0o0

  • wow

  • thats cool! i got to harvest a tanbo field near my primary school in the middle of nowhere last year with the 3rd year kids, we dont have that in our countries so its pretty interesting ay

  • That was amazing :D

  • Very interesting thanks for sharing this video!

  • Wow that was actually pretty cool! xD

  • I want some green rice! :)

  • that is amazing! my mind is blown

  • You know how the old saying goes, "You learn something new everyday", well this is what I learned today. Thanks for the video! Was very interesting.

  • A lot of interesting videos lately, Victor. Thanks.

  • Is maggie sensei wearing a jumper in the car there?

  • @GaijinAbroad

    DAMN! You have EXCELLENT EYES!

  • @Gimmeaflakeman haha thanks. I'm practically blind actually (-05.25 both eyes, if that means anything)

  • @Gimmeaflakeman Dang! maybe not great eyes but, great attention to detail. I actually watched it a second time to see your dog. Also, I was amazed that i thought that machine would lay the rice like sod(because I have seen that done so much here recently)then "i waited for it" and finally saw that each individual plant came for the big piece. This is so cool!

  • @GaijinAbroad < What part of the video?

  • that was so interesting

  • very cool

  • cool videos i have seem this before in the japan channel videos.

you should do more videos like it congratulations !

  • now i understand why the food its so expensive in japan

  • Lame. Only joking. Is there a full version of the theme song anywhere? I lick, I lick.

  • "check it out, if you like the video thumbs up, favorite, comment, ALL THAT CRAP!!" lmao!!!! nice vid btw!

  • plants love CO2 whats the problem.

  • Great demonstration. TheJapanChannelDcom also showed something like this recently. Apparently, they still plant by hand - like in the old times - in the more outskirt rural areas of Japan. It was back-breaking work doing it this way. That's why you'd see some stereotypical oyaji old men with their backs out of shape hunched over in Samurai films.

This machine makes the process so much more fun, quicker, cleaner, and pain-free, but either do to stubbornness or money, not all of Japan uses one.

  • @RelVleDy

    Oh, really? Don't watch him.

But yeah, if you look like an EBI it's a kind of sign of having weathered life here. Still lots of EBI looking old people here.

  • @Gimmeaflakeman Whats wrong with watching thejapanchannel?

  • @RelVleDy Yeah saw it on ThatJapanChannelDCom also, love how they made that machine. But I wanna know exactly in detail how the thing grabs and releases the sprouts.

  • TheJapanChannel did a video about that machine. About planting them by hand, I think he said that they do that the first day of the rice planting season as like a traditional thing or something. Im not sure, I might have to watch it again.

  • People in Japan seem so kind and welcoming >w<

  • @KyonKun0993 People are like that in the US too.. Not everyone but i am sure not everyone in Japan is kind and welcoming, people are people that is just how it is.

  • @roltthehunter Hmm... never actually thought about that but you're right! Its a different feeling in some ways though...

  • thats cool!

    i lick the video :3

  • Is it nothing that it grows right next to the street? it can't be very healthy..just sayin'

  • @LadyRockEternal

Huh? So all farm land in the world with streets next to them are unhealthy? How do people reach the fields?

  • @LadyRockEternal

You're probably right, but explain this:

    1) It's delicious.

    2) Japanese still have the longest life spans in the world.

  • @Gimmeaflakeman That will remain a mystery ;D Well maybe because it's grain~

  • @Gimmeaflakeman LOL :P

  • @LadyRockEternal well look at the japanese people they look pretty healthy to me lol

  • @LadyRockEternal All the corn fields I see here in Utah have roads next to 'em.
