price and thoma's stats were very similar last year the only difference is that one plays for montreal and the other boston, both are very important to their teams mainly montreal because price pretty much is the team, price is amazing and young, in the next few years i can see him lead the nhl, nobody gave him a chance oh and can thomas bat the puck with his stick out of mid air behind him twice?

price >thomas, espn thinks so, tsn thinks so, patrick roy thinks so, rds thinks so, real #1 goalie of the nhl right here, and if you want to argue, think about the rest of thomas' career as a below average BACKUP goalie, the guy couldn't even hold his own in high school hockey, if he has another year or two like this one ill admit to his "skill", but judging by his career and the level of luck in most of his nice saves, all i can say is PRICE>thomas

@NZLeduc I'm a Canucks fan & a Price fan, but you're talking out of your ass. Thomas blew up in Europe, he was one of the best players there, & ran with his opportunity in the NHL. He's got all the skill.

He wasn't in the NHL earlier because he was a hockey late bloomer. So just because of that, you deny his skill? A guy who has a growth spurt later but becomes the biggest guy around is still the biggest guy, right? Thomas may have come into his own late, but he's the best in the NHL right now.

@ebman3 1 cup 2 vezina's and he probably would have more if all 30 teams didn't fuck up and he got to the show before he was 31 and didn't have the starting role tell 32. I get that thomas likely at most only has 4 years left of being a great goalie if that, but the fact remains that here and now he's better than Price.

The reason I like thomas so much is that despite everyone telling him that he was to small and unorthedox to play in the NHL he never gave up and proved all the naysayers wrong.

@polipoli8 I have always thought Price was a better goalie for a whole host of reasons... the only thing I thought he lacked after the adrenaline wore off when he first came to town was... how to handle playing #1 in Montreal (basically the pressure) He let it get to him a bit, and that coupled with some lackluster play in front of him, meant for not the best result, I remember saying to a wife when Carey said "chill out" to the Montreal fans this year, that Carey was ready.

@Gingastar99 I'm not saying wrong as in bad, I'm saying wrong as in redicilious. Those were amazing saves. And I do watch videos of my favorate goalie (Marc-Andre Fleury). I watch the habs video out of my love for the game and more importantly goaltending, my position. My hatred for the habs stems from the habs knocking my penguins out of the playoffs last season, nothing personal, just loyal to my team.
