I dunno if this is a dumb question or not, but how do the lego trains move?

@StevieG454 The trains move with the motors at the engine unit and the battery pack as cargo on the trailers. The cabling runs hidden out of sight underneath it and over the hitches to the motors. For the other trains that are bi directional, its a little more complex but this is the basic of how it's done.

Not sure what these guys do with them but Lego sell ones that run via electrified rail and others that run on battery. I'm 97% sure the track sizes so power-issues aside all trains work on all tracks.

Lego was made in Denmark. It started there! Im from Denmark, and Billund, were Lego is, they have a hole park of trains, airport with moving airplanes! and even cars, that runs all around the park, with boats too! We even have bridges that move up and down!
