I actually like the music. It doesn't intrude and fits in with the overall theme of simplicity. Very Zen and quirky.
I think this ad is good for TV. Maybe shorten it as needed for the time available. It doesn't need many changes. I don't think adding other people is a good idea, too cluttered & distracts from the message. The guy in it is compelling & persuasive. This wld have appeal across all demographics. A+.
I would say that "abolishing the IRS and Federal Reserve" are to sensitive of topics to flop out in a commercial. That's radical and very complicated. I would say to focus on the Constitution, Freedom, and Foreign Policy.
The original is actually much better...the music/sound effects in this one are ill-timed, feel inappropriate, and just plain jarring. Keep up the hard work and I hope you see this as constructive criticism (as I mean it to be) rather than just tearing down; I'm impressed with your efforts and desire to spread the message!
I dig it, but did you not read my previous posts and stipulation that the music is just place-holder for now.. till I can get the "real" music in there. I don't mind criticism, but its not valid in this case cause I am changing that music out...
I'm glad to hear it, but we can only discuss what we're presented with, so for now I'll have to stick with my earlier assessment. Of course, I'll also be sticking with my sincere gratitude for your efforts. It's people like you who are breaking new ground in getting a campaign rolling despite a general media blackout.
I genuinely believe we stand at a point in history that will be looked back upon much as the Kennedy/Nixon TV debate is now viewed. Things are changing!
If you come out and say "abolish the IRS" it turns people off.. Most people I say that to laugh at me and write me off as a lunatic. I would stress the "Following the constitution" or "Legalizing the constitution". People wake up when they hear that the constitution isn't being followed.
I hear you.. but the ad is already done.. I am just modifying it with bullet points and new music for a grassroots tv commercial. So, it says "abolish the irs" - so it has to stay there... I guess "phase out" would have been better... but I appreciate your comments.
The Freedom Stick! I love it.

I think it's a pretty great ad. Are we going to start seeing the ads airing in our own cities? paid for by Ron Paul meetup groups?

I like it. The text echoes my feelings exactly. Liked the 'whacking everyone with the freedom stick." Ain't it the truth!

Take out the carnival music. It gives it a juvenile atmosphere.

the music is just a placeholder..hahah. I mentioned that in a few other posts.. This is not a final video.

Wow...weak commercial...hope they don't spend money running that.
How about the Veteran/Baseball player/OB GYN/Dedicated public servant who got Reagan elected commercial?!?!?

To start,
I'm a semi-fanatical ron paul supporter.
If you come out and say "abolish the IRS" it turns people off.. Most people I say that to laugh at me and write me off as a lunatic. I would stress the "Following the constitution" or "Legalizing the constitution". People wake up when they hear that the constitution isn't being followed.

Tell them to watch the documentary : America freedom to fascism.
Ron Paul gives an interview in it and Aaron Russo answer all these questions.

I don't know who this Ron Paul guy is, but if he's got hip commercials like this, I'll vote for him.

agree, it worked better when it had that music on through the entire commercial, not on and off music. Is there copyright issue maybe?
