Wow I remember dancing this at the Paradise Garage in 1978 and The Saint back in the day in NYC. Than hearing it again at The Muzic Box in Chicago. Those were the days I tell ya.
Oh Gosh....I still play this on vinyl...12 West....My BF/partner died 26 years ago from AIDS complcations..I have been lost since 1983...Maybe one day................
Wow! Just reminiscing with some friends the other evening and we were thinking about some great 70's disco hits that we used to boogie to and my sis mentioned this record and tried to find it on the net and found this great version on here. Thanks! We used to go to "The Roxy" disco in Union St, Plymouth UK 1975-1978 (c) and this was a favourite track (the long version!) - we could never get hold of a single version of it and it remained one of those "only heard whilst clubbing" . Class!
@mollusc6 I can't believe I've found someone who remembers the Roxy with a passion. Me and my mates were totally addicted to this club for a few years, through it's Penthouse phase and then up until it finally died. Best music in the world thanks to Jeff Spence (and his homemade sound system). If you want a perfect copy of Cathedrals, I can e-mail it to you. Gary
Oh man! I so agree with 2 comments before mine. I heard this song for the first time a few months ago and it absolutely has stuck with me, way more so than any other song I've heard this year for the first time, new or old. I am pleased to see a recent video for it. Good idea!
This song has been haunted me since first hearing it so many years ago. Timeless. How wonderful to now have some deep, dark, delicious images to compliment the beautiful music!
WOW...what a blast from the past...I remember dancing to this in 1976 at Flamingo and 12 West. The original album cover was D.C. LaRue at the front doors of Flamingo. D.C. LaRue you are a survivor in many-many ways...live on in your music and your art! Love to you from all the dancin' queens...you know who!! XOXO
This song stands the test of time, this was from the BEST period of disco-dance music and a Great example of a perfect disco classic, thanks DC,Tommy :)...lets now see a clip for "Making the round" and "Voodo Rythem"!!
The song at the beginning of this video is: I Don't Know If It's Right from Evelyn Champaign King's first LP

This particular video takes on the somewhat dark elements of the lyrics without bashing the viewer over the head. Nice work indeed!
