There is a path trough the level but they also make things you can see.. otherwise it's just a path........ this is in any game

I remember, i did this in all of my games. Tried to get there, where noone else could.

So what wasn't shown on the map, i HAD to go there, jump, fly or fall there. :D

Nothing special, but when i find a "secret" place in a game, it was kind of a good feeling. I used to play a lot with Syphon Filter, and I allways tried to reach the "balck edge" of the war zone/map/level/terrain(what ever). You know, where aren't anything, just "space" and a never ending fall, just like in a lot of older games. :D

It's really ridiculous that when you try to jump to buildings that are not part of the main route, you die, no matter how low the building is, even if you're just backtracking (even though there's no point in doing so, unless bored) from the blue staircase before the area with the SWATs to the area you jumped from in the first place.

I've managed to get past this by rolling, coiling and other tricks to reduce the 'height' and fall damage, since rolling can negate the instadeath.

if it was made a secret area you would be able to fall thorough just like any other games. it was programmed there to see who would find this place. so it was made to be found not really a secret maybe it was a secret at the time but the developers knew wat they were doing.

A secret area in a game is usually made so that people can find it, but it's not meant to be gotten at exactly - there's often no exit, and it's not part of the normal route, so it's something extra. Secret in this sense is kind of on par with Easter Egg.
