The problem with FWD cars is that anything over 170 HP will have terrible torque steering. Not only that engine mounts and CV joints will take a beating and have a shorter life. Make a G6 with RWD, now that would be something to consider.

my dad has a 2008 grand prix gxp and took out the 5.3L v8 and the 4 speed automatic and put in a supercharged 6.2L v8 mated with a 6 speed automatic now it gose 0-60 in 4.8 seconds with FWD.

Slicks on a gto will dip you into the high 12's easily, i have never seen ever a stock 4.6 or even lightly modded 4.6 beat a LS2, just isnt gonna happen 400hp>300hp.

You can't compare a mustang to the Solstice. The Solstice is all modded, and is also smaller (weights less). But in terms of who would win, I'd say the Solstice of course. I own both cars (purchased a '08 Solstice GXP turbo-supercharged yesterday) and if you have me pick, once again I'd drive the Solstice all the way. Is just a nicer car, is like a mini corvette... and it gives eyes on the street (3 ppl already told me "nice car" while they never did on my mustang lol).

I love em both, but you can't beat the numbers. The current models out right now, when in comparison, all have a clear winner. The mustang in an overall faster car. AND it costs less, weighs less, handles lightyears better, and actually looks anything like a retro muscle car.

Slicks on a gto will dip you into the high 12's easily, i have never seen ever a stock 4.6 or even lightly modded 4.6 beat a LS2, just isnt gonna happen 400hp>300hp.

@Metalhead852 idk what you're relationship is with the car world, or how much experience you have.... but someone lied to you if they have a 4.6 mustang in the 10s on tires and gears.... the new mustangs put out more power than the old ones, yes. but they are almost twice as heavy, and don't have the response they need. and a stock 4.6 will NOT run a 13.2..... I would say more like 15.2

That's a no bolt ons 4.6 with just line lock, a gear, and a set of slicks. Like I said 13.2's on stock motor. Even on street tires they run low 14's. Also my relationship with the car world is a great one. Especially the automotive high performance degree.

1. the 99-04 mustangs are lighter than the 05-09 considering they are the heaviest gen of mustangs. the Foxbody being the lightest.
2. 13.2 on gears and slicks is NOWHERE near the 10s you said they could do on gears and slicks....
3. again.... a STOCK (fully) 4.6 will NOT run a 13.2.... you might get that with gears and tires and a good driver.

You can't compare a mustang to the Solstice. The Solstice is all modded, and is also smaller (weights less). But in terms of who would win, I'd say the Solstice of course. I own both cars (purchased a '08 Solstice GXP turbo-supercharged yesterday) and if you have me pick, once again I'd drive the Solstice all the way. Is just a nicer car, is like a mini corvette... and it gives eyes on the street (3 ppl already told me "nice car" while they never did on my mustang lol).

@camaro3gen 2011 mustang gt 412 HP, Camaro SS 426 HP. 2011 Mustang V6 305 HP, Camaro V6 which ACTUALLY HAS 304 HP. Mustang still smokes it ALL DAY. and you know it too. I love em both, but you can't beat the numbers. The current models out right now, when in comparison, all have a clear winner. The mustang in an overall faster car. AND it costs less, weighs less, handles lightyears better, and actually looks anything like a retro muscle car.
