No one should throw things at people. Especially hard objects like bottles. Johnny made some mistakes, but his eyesight was always poor. He played some smokin' licks and it was sounding better as they played. He was intoxicated too though. When he repeated himself after being hit, you can tell he's on something. He probably didn't feel it but knew he didn't want to get hit again.

While it is true that bottles and other objects are thrown at performers quite often, and I'm sure Johnny has dodged his share, if you watch carefully he dodges several of them during this number before the last and most obvious one.
