  • way back long time, 1st time in Boston,MA,singer did a radio interview on WMBR. and he said that all the lyrics on this album are not directed anyone, except himself.this song was played on that show and I still think RLYL made a lot of great music.

  • Let the speakers crackle and burn!

  • Heartbreaking lyrics...

  • Best live gig I ever saw!!!

  • Bauhaus meets The Cure...I love it.

  • "...I wanna take you out and get you wet, ...you say you love me but not quite yet...." I love that bit

  • This song is difficult to stop listening to, love it.

  • I was told this sounded like the Jesus and Mary Chain

  • love this ty 4 posting

  • this is outstanding; vocals slightly reminiscent of Men Without Hats

    'you're a true embrace'

  • a dark little ditty indeed!

  • REDLP 50 ALL LYRICS CHRIS REED makes me wish I lived in London...

  • Saw them live yesterday at their only german gig on tour at the Zwischenfall in Bochum - great little place, very enjoyable evening. Thanks, Lorries!

  • Thanks!!! Pretty well sond. I've never heard this band before.

  • The Mighty Lorries are playing Slimelight in London next weekend (16th Oct).

Not many Lorries gigs these days, don't pass up a chance to catch them.

  • @JustAnotherPunk I was there, came all the way down from Lincoln to see them

  • My mum was married to the bass guitarist of this band about 20 years ago when they were getting famous.. They divorced though about 5 years later

  • why on earth did I not get into this at the time??? excellent track!

  • Great stuff, ta for posting

  • title track from the incredible 1985 release from Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. In a year that saw several brilliant new albums by Sisters (First and Last and Always), The Cult (Love), New Order (Low Life) and others, this stood tall along with the best of them. Even though RLYL continued to release great material after this, Talk About The Weather is my favorite of all of their albums. Not a weak song in the lot. To use the term "huge influence" would be an understatement here..

  • ...ti leei Apolo tha vreksei ekei??

Na gleitwsoume to potisma & to kaltson diladi!!!

  • @CerberusvonOz

    Speak English

  • stunning memories from my youth....I'm filling up!!!!!

  • do you remember when you would discover a band like this with ambiquous artwork on the album and all you had to go on was the music itself and your imagination to get a picture of what they looked like or what their image was like? Or do you remember being wasted on whatever your drug of choice happend to be and staring at these covers for hours trying to figure out what they were and seeing all kinds of trippy shit that you cant see now because you are sober?

  • @AdamCoffin13

    so true!

  • fabulous band, the work on the guitars production was amazing for the time!!!!

  • great"

  • I love these guys. They completely outloop the loopers!

  • wow i had forgotten about this thanks for the upload , an excellent band , totaly underated , cool .................

  • Great band, one of the most underrated of their era... x

  • You say you love me but not quite yet...

  • Keep coming back to this one...wish my vinyl hadn;t been ripped off, by some Geordie ****sticks, back in the day. Great stuff. Keep it posted

  • spettacolare

  • just discovered this band. 20 years late maybe, but he ho.

    So chaotic, love it.

  • @stinkycricket I still have this album in vinyl. There was nothing like them back then, even now, it's hard to find a match.

  • I discovered it 20 years ago, i been lucky, and still love it. Welcome to the gang.

  • yess found it! after all these years! wonderful depressive- YEAH!

  • nice, very nice indeed

  • They supported the mission in the late 80's at the Colsten hall. They where great. :o)

  • love this songx

  • The Lorries played in Tijuana in 1989-at the latest "short term" happening place at the time. Probably had indoor fireworks as well. Just a crazy period, and a great show!

  • Comment removed

  • Saw them in Tijuana......that......rocked.

  • Where in TJ? I never heard of such a thing! othrwise I'd been there for sure !!

  • Oh my days... I still love it!!

  • Great and deep stuff, long live Lorry, unique, embracing, I'm so soaked to the skin of Red Lorry Yellow Lorry ... Thanks for posting it and for the lyrics.

  • cuanta nostalgia

  • me encantan

  • Un immense classique inaltérable !!!!

  • bellissimo pezzo, quanti ricordi, i sow them live in berlin in 1986, great gig i was so young, great times

  • a milano il 24 con i fall e i section 25

  • This is cool stuff, yes

  • une époque formidable !

  • I stand by my words. This band is underrated, horribly!

Brilliant timeless music. Very similar to Killing Joke and X-Mal Deutschland :)

  • I saw them in Newcastle supporting X-Mal Deutschland about 1984/5 and they were awesome.

  • RLYL wrote and performed many beautiful songs, some 80's hits. in my opinion they sound similar to Sisters, but have own personality and charisma. talk about the weather is a masterpiece.

  • Beautiful. Have this album too.

  • Great stuff, have some on CD as well as vinyl, faultles, merverlous

  • cool, like it, not as gud as the sisters, clan of xymox, alien sex fiend or bauhaus but still good

  • C'mon, They are much better than Ailen Sex Fiend!

  • Alien Sex Fiend?? Not as good as Alien Sex Fiend? They were nothing but gimmick, these guys were the real deal. I woldnt classify Xymox in the same catagory (but I have their cds). Sisters of Mercy & Bauhaus, Ok, Ill give you that one.

  • Alien Sex fiend not as good? Alien sex fiend made me laugh my ass off and I'd go to a show if Nick Fiend still played. Red Lorry Yellow Lorry nahhh.

Besides who compares Batcave/deathrock to g0ff rock?

  • The Lorries were the shiz, my uncle introduced me to them a year ago, I tell ya, a 17 year old Red Lorry Yellow Lorry going into school with Train of Hope as his ringtone. I love ASF, but I agree they were basically 'the batcave cabaret', I always more of a Specimen fan :)

  • vu en 1989 (il me semble) a l'elysee monmartre

  • Maybe i think the same as you, but this is real cool stuff, sorry, greetz from germany

    Alex.M

  • I love this song <3<3<3

  • thick, layered and meaningful. unlike the crap today.

  • @gk510998 i agree i choose this as that of my future resting place

  • @gk510998 i agree !!!

  • probably their best ever track although monkeys on juice is another classic.saw them live many times, such power and pure amazing guitar, big black copied them for sure heard they toured recently??

  • But it depends from the weather!!

  • take the next one you really get a thing for out into the rainy middle of nowhere and see what happens. maybe play this on the way, maybe just run it through your head. i promise that with the right sort of partner, it'll beat the hell out of dinner and a movie.

  • I effin love this band!

  • when rock was worth listening , red lorry yellow lorry , one of the best rock band ...the guitar was ahead of time ..

  • Awesome, forgot how great this track is! Thanks for posting.

  • I've never heard of you, that does not mean that you are not a wanker

  • Such an outstanding track, they're terribly underrated though

  • @ThePoisonDoor I completely agree. I should have heard this song a long time ago.

  • Cool song

  • eargasm

  • spent many a happy hour battering my teenage brain with this album. had the pleasue of seeing them supporting killing joke at newcastle mayfair in the late 80's: superb.

  • So much talent ! Selfishly I am glad they weren't HUGE because radio and the superficial media would have destoyed the dream and taken them away from the real fans.

  • You know what? I just heard these for the first time...and I LOVE THEM! Makes me yearn for an era I couldn't be part of...I was definitely born in the wrong decade!

  • Woah, I've heard this at clubs a lot and always wondered what it was....awesome!

  • Fantastic

  • thank you so much for posting.

Iam falling back into this great time Cool

  • Great song, one of my favorites.

  • One of their best tracks ever!

  • Super - Danke für das Posting!

  • Blinding track-& they've reformed apparently !

  • RLYL have been gigging on and off in the UK and some EU festivals since 2003. Chris Reed also plays solo gigs, which usually feature really, really powerfull semi-acoustic versions of RLYL songs.

  • ...let the speakers crackle and burn!

i played this album to death.

  • Top track, havnt heard this in a very long time, cheers for posting it buddy

  • Great band! Awesome song takes me way back..cheers!

  • They continued where Joy Division ended...

  • The first two albums certainly sound even more like JD than Interpol do. And that is no bad thing.

Chris Reed hasn't lost much of his edge, dispite the years. Catch the Lorries if you get a chance and you probably won't be disapointed. They still belt out hard, two plus hour sets with a snarl.

  • WOW! I don't think this track will ever sound dated. It's absolutely brilliant!

Thanks to Joanne (Switch) in Toronto for introducing me to this song 18 or 19 years ago.

  • Unverwechselbar & unkopierbar.

    Epic!

  • ...und dieses cover bild.

    Wahnsinn!!

  • Thanks for posting!!!

  • I´m 46 and this song sounds still great.

  • best guitar sound of all time,

this song popped in my head this morning at random, haven't heard it in about 15 years and I remembered all the lyrics.

  • Bloody hell I haven't heard this song for a long time... top bloody tune.

  • She still talks about any old shit - sigh - I'm 42

  • Only 42, I'm turning 50 this year :)

  • I rate this 98/100

  • Top of the somewhere 10 ever

  • great retro tune

    thanks for posting

  • endlich hats ma einer reingestellt!!!!
