  • btw: i asked some friends etc. they said it may be: My computer overheats or screen card or what it is named is destroyed/dont work like it should

  • @PepsimaxL You should take a look at my video called "How to Repair Geforce and ATI Video Cards". I had a video card blow up on me, I bought some parts at and fixed it myself.

I also have a new video showing you how to properly clean and apply thermal paste to drop temperatures called "How to Apply Thermal Compound to Intel CPU"

Other videos I made you should check out.

How to Clean a Video Card Thoroughly

How to Clean a CPU Fan & Heatsink at 215MPH!

    Keep everything CLEAN and COOL

  • hey, you seems smart :D

i have some problems with my pc...

it started like 2-3 weeks ago.

when i play games on my computers after like 10-50 minuts the screen gets black/blank like it is turned off but my pc is still running. i have to turn my computer off manualy by holding power button for 5-6 second, when i turn the computer on again the fan's spin fast/(sounds like that).

i have been seraching in google etc. for a sulution but dident really find something that fixes the problem.

  • @PepsimaxL You computer is definitely overheating.

Make sure that there is ZERO dust inside your case and that all the fans are working properly.

Step two: get some high quality thermal paste "Arctic 5" and re-do the compound on your CPU and Heatsink (see my video).

Step 3. Make sure your video card is not Over-clocked (uninstall and reinstall new video card drivers).

Step 4: I have lots of new How-to videos that can help you do everything I just mentioned. Browse my channel

  • my comp runs at 100 c i was wondering why i drop to 5-1 fps when i look when fps drops iits at 125 fps

  • @qinn50 Hmm, a little confused by what you are trying to say. Nevertheless 100 degrees Celsius is A LOT! I'd fix that issue and see how your frame rates are afterwards. Also find out what temperature your CPU is supposed be running at, because you could easily fry a CPU. I've done it years ago.

  • @homeaddition well i figured out my graphics card is over heating its a nvidia geforce 9100 i looked it up and they are terrible for mmo gamers i need a new graphics card any suggestions?

  • @qinn50 It really depends on how much you want to spend, but here are some good ones. EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) FPB 1GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 it's $109 after mail in rebate on NewEgg

    or

MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB $214.

  • Uh, just reached 80°C. Guess I should do something.

  • @ChillaZap Sounds like it. First look up the suggested temperatures for your exact CPU on the MFR website.

I had a few occasions where I moved or bumped into my computer case and my CPU temps jumped up. I cleaned everything up and reapplied the thermal compound.

Check out my other video that shows how to properly apply thermal paste. It's really detailed.

  • Fix My Hang :D

  • tenkz!!! ay jast ded et!!!!

    dats greyt!!!

aym soobskrayb tu yu naw men!! xD

  • Someone help me,i use an AMD PHENOM 2 X6 ,and it was working all fine and not suddenly, games start lagging for 2-3 seconds they stick and then go to 60-90 fps back, cant be my gpu cause i use an AMD 6870,please help me,it can be my processor, not anything else:(

  • @ableman8 Sounds like something was installed recently that caused the problem. You could try a system restore to go back to where everything was good to see if that fixes the issue. Last resort is to do a fresh system installation. Other problems could be a new driver update that is conflicting with your game somehow, this happens from time to time.

  • @homeaddition hey man, listen,My cpu drops from 2.8-3.0 ghz to 800 mhz for a few seconds and that makes the games lag, what is happenening, and just 2 seconds it returns to normal and then drops again, thats what causes the lag,why is this happening? my cpu is just 8 months old Phenom 2 X6 1055T,can you give me all details about this problem and how to handle a processor,i cleaned everything re installed the cpu cleaned the fan still no use,i really feel like crying i lost a mlg tournament cuz ot it

  • @ableman8 It sounds like your CPU is throttling, this is a setting in your Bios. Go through your motherboard manual and look for power saving settings and turn them off. Also, you could look up your motherboard on Google and maybe search for the keywords "overclocking settings" or "performance settings". Your operating system, also has power settings, make sure that it is set for performance,

  • @homeaddition When i play music or run games, everything including sound slows down for a few seconds, and then becomes normals and slows and so on...,i use the gigabyte 880gm-udh2 board with turbo 3d,and 6870 XFX,my X6 lags like shit,i have removed the thermal paste it was frozen, should i replace the heatsink? its not the bios, the avg temp i get is 65-70 degree's,please help me,god will bless you sir,its nothing related to bios cause its updated and everything else is fine, just the cpu

  • @ableman8 Those temps seem pretty high to me, but I'm not familiar with your setup at all. My pc overclocked from 3.3 to 4.2 GHZ is running at 35 degrees at idle and 45 degrees at load. I used Prime 95 to test it's settings and it reaches 70 degrees completely maxed out. The manufacturer doesn't recommend anything higher than 72 degrees for my core i5 2500k. Find out what your MFR recommends for safe CPU temps, your cooling maybe insufficient.

  • @homeaddition i use the stock heatsink for AM3 chipsets,AMD PHENOM 2 X6 1055T 2.8 at stock, can go to 7 Ghz with no problems but a lil more cooling, but not really the time to do that..and...my mobo is speacially built for overclocking and stuff,my system can run crysis 2 70-90 fps ultra dx11,but because of this cpu lag, everything is fucked up,from 70 it drops to 2-4 fps in no time and then comes back drops, again and again, recommend me a heatsink? is it because of that? the max temp MFR is 62 c.

  • @ableman8 #1 If your exceeding your CPU temps, you should definietly go on Newegg and find a great cpu cooler = COOLER MASTER Hyper 212. You're not even overclocking it much (200mhz), and your cpu is way too hot for stock speeds.

  • @homeaddition How do i check my cpu temperature?

  • @HC32KING Download Speccy from CNET.

  • @homeaddition Wow thanks i love CNET!

  • what's the normal voltage for CPU..??

    mine is 1.4V

  • @nForcing That depends on your exact CPU. You can easily find that information on the manufacturers website: Intel or AMD.

  • @alienspok1 If you made sure you have new thermal compound, working fans pointed in the right directions, proper voltage and motherboard settings and your computer still overheats... Maybe something is broken or it's too hot in your house.

  • im an idiot. I overclocked my core i7 200k and now the PC turns off after 4 seconds of it booting up. This means I cannot enter BIOS. What should I do?

  • @mBrooks95 First nice CPU :)... Usually motherboards have a CMOS reset dip switch that you move from one set of pins to another. Look up your motherboard model number and get the manual if you don't already have it. Once you have the manual look for "Clearing CMOS". Some new boards have a push button to clear the CMOS to fix overclocking mistakes. BTW this is a very common problem and you will be okay once you clear the CMOS.

  • @mBrooks95 Easy to fix. remove the bios battery then wait 10-15 minutes then put the battery back and turn on the comp this should reset the bios completely back to the default settings.

  • @Ultimatesniper11 i did this and settings restored! Only problem now is Windows 7. It freezes on the "Starting Windows" screen. What could the problem be?

  • from 47c degrees to 28c degrees xD

  • what was that substance u put on your CPU?

  • @antidescent Thermal compound like Arctic Silver.

  • great tutorial man too bad my comp exploded before i got to watch this

  • @sgtdanny69148 It happens to the best of us. Long time ago I used "the pencil trick" on an AMD Athalon to and when I booted up my CPU I saw smoke! Luckily Newegg, sent me a new CPU :) Subscribe to my channel for more cool tips.

  • @homeaddition im really bad at these things and my parents wont let me open up my computer, got any advise?

  • ,.is there any software available for viewing your cpu speed,temp,,etc.. without going to BIOS? just like what you did..can u post me a link plss.. TNks.. i'd learned a lot from your vid..

  • @lllllGMlllllLoVeRBoY I use the free version of Sandra from sisoftware.

  • my freinds cpu was some time at 90°C xD

  • I would turn your heatsink around! It is fighting with the exhaust fan. They are both blowing away from one another causing a low pressure area. Turn it around and they will work together as push pull witch will move tons more air through the heatsink and the system!

  • @Mustangmizer Thanks, I did take care of that.

  • @homeaddition Cool :)

  • Very informative video, thankyou for uploading it :)

  • @IMightBeAGeek Thanks for the comment :)

  • Thanks for the vid. Totally solved my problem.

  • @DeadlyPride88 You're welcome :)

  • @TrueComputerTut Wow those temps get really high when you play games. I would by a good water cooling kit if I were you.

  • does anyone know how to open up the program that was on the screen? o . O

  • My CPU is 63 degrees Celsius :(

Without taking off the case, I cleaned the vent on the vent on thr back and it dropped t0 50

  • @Panda4Cash Wow, that's a huge drop. Time to clean my case again :P

  • I hope this helps me to make it go down 40 Degrees C from 90 -.-

  • @mantas141 dont touch it straight after use :S

  • @agbbharad123 Intel Q6600... See my overclocking video where I take the bad boy from 2.4GHZ to 3.4GHZ :)

  • Cpu. This ensures full coverage and will form a much better seal. make sure you dont leave pockets where air can get trapped. Once your heatsync is clean, inspect the hardware that mounts it to the motherboard. Spring screws are usually quite good but pushpins are a pain in the ass. And if they break they are useless. If broken, i recomend going to a hardware store and finding small nylon nuts, bolts and spacers. you want firm pressure on the cpu but not too much to cause warping. GL!

  • Back a step, make sure not to vacuum the inside of the case to close. The static discharge can damage components. USE COMPRESSED AIR ALWAYS!!!!! Clean the board with 100% isopropyl alcohol. It evaporates quickly, leaves no residue, and is an effective solvent. I only ever use lint free Q-tips to clean a CPU and occasionally (for stubborn spots) use a wooden toothpick. Apply about a small pea sized ammount of thermal paste and use a fresh business card to spread it across the ... contd.

  • while this is a decent video for changing thermal paste i have some suggestions for people. Chiefly, make sure your computer has sufficient airflow to begin with. Often people upgrade their computers or add multiple hard drives and do not take into account the reduced airflow. After removing your heatsync, DO NOT REMOVE YOUR CPU. many cant but if you can dont. Just clean it on the motherboard. Even dust getting into the pinslots on the board could cause serious problems. Contd.

  • i cleaned my PC and while i play game still overheats :(( how to solve that?

  • @helihopter186 Did you apply new thermal paste?

  • @homeaddition no...you think it could be cuz of that? my cousin said that too (he's computer wiz) i will try...tnx, i'll keep in touch if works :)

  • @homeaddition hey man i was playing fallout on my PC and i accidently knocked the CPU with my foot (litterally knocked... like knocking a glass window) and the whole thing crashed, it still turns on, but nothing happens, its like its unconcious, im gonna crack it open myself but what do u think has happened??? cause i dont think i could have damaged it, PLZ HELP, btw where did u get the thermal paste? o . O

  • @crayzeesteve Ok, I'm assuming by CPU you mean the actual computer case, because the CPU is the processor, so unless you were playing with your whole case taken apart and your CPU exposed... Anyways, If your tower came crashing down many things could have happened. I would take out all my cards (graphics, sound, etc) take out my ram, unplug all the wires and re-seat everything. Most likely you jarred a physical connection. Worst case scenario, you screwed up your hard drive. Hope that helps.

  • @homeaddition na it didnt even move just a gentle knock, i took it apart today, cleaned the fans, handled everything carefully and checked if anything was out of the ordinary, pulled the fans motherboard and disk drive/hard drive out a bit to see if it was ok but everything appeared fine, ive put it back together and checked it and now it wont even come on, anyway i dont know what i could have done now, i gently pressed components on the motherboard too to make sure they were fully attached, idk

  • @crayzeesteve Re-seat the CPU and Ram. Remember that if you re-seat the CPU you will have to re-apply thermal paste. Also a jostled video card needs re-seating also. It sounds like something just got knocked out of alignment, it doesn't sound like you broke anything. When things like that happened to me, I took everything apart as a last resort (I mean every little connected wire) then I put everything back together and it worked 100% of the time. Don't give u and take your time.

  • @homeaddition i'll give it a shot tomorow, but im gonna have to be carefull with this... i dont want to fuck it up... how do u re-seat it? o . O

  • @crayzeesteve Here's what you should do since I take it you are not a computer nerd. 1. take a lot of before pictures in-case you forget where and how things go. 2. unplug all cables 3. remove memory modules 4. remove cpu and heat sink 5. remove add in cards (video cards, sound cards, network cards etc.) 6. put everything back, step by step. 7. if you pulled the CPU out, make sure you clean off the old thermal paste and re-apply thermal paste when you put it back. Re-seat =take out, put back in.

  • @homeaddition got it, thanks man, btw where did u get the paste? o . O

  • @helihopter186 Thermal paste, ARCTIC SILVER compound #5. If your still hot look into a bigger heatsync and look into improving your case ventilation via more or better set up fans.

  • @DaBluedude100 OK..if thermal paste don't work i'll send it for fix :)

  • @helihopter186 i posted a how to in comments here... homeaddition is mostly correct but there are some things i would change. Also, make sure your fans are all pointed the right way. Anywhere there is an empty fan grate in the back you can throw an exhaust fan in. I have 10 fans total in my case. 2 in front intake, heatsync a 120mm top fan that blows on the heatsync 2 rear exit fans to speed hot air out, one fan to blow cool air over the GPU, (2 on the GPU) and one in the power suply

  • min computer is 70 celsius HELP IM GOT TEMP ERROR

  • @dr4gonzs Try this:

1.Look up stock opertaing temperatures on Google.

    2. Make sure that all of my fans are working and pointing in the proper direction.

    3. Re-do the thermal compound after I cleaned the CPU and heat sink really well; I use rubbing alcohol.

    4. Check my voltage settings and make sure that I'm not running too much voltage (Use stock setting if you are not overclocking).

    5. Clean all dust bunnies out of your case.

  • @dr4gonzs i would use one of those household fans, bigger the better and open up ur case and put it aiming at the processor, then run tests and whatnot

  • each core for me is 65celsius idle, what should i do? (dual core btw)

  • @struggle375

1.Look up stock opertaing temperatures on Google.

@struggle375 Let me know how that works out for you.

  • @homeaddition O_O thats a lot, could i just buy a new fan w/ 5 fans? :P

  • Might be re-doing this video. My power supply fan died and my fans were setup incorrectly. My temps are super low now, with the new power supply and proper setup of airflow.

  • The case fan on the back and on the power supply fan are blowing hot air out. They exhaust the heat, so he should switch the cpu heat sink fan around. He does not want to blow or trap any of that hot air around the heat sink. He should also set up a a high cfm 80mm fan on the front to blow cold air into the case. I do not see one on this set up. It should be a high cfm as his case does not have room for a big 120mm. Besides, he now has 3 fans exhausting; he needs to equal things out.

  • @kalijasin The case fan came with the case and it was setup to blow air in. The power supply had a fan sucking the hot air in from inside the case and blowing it out. Now my new setup is as you would expect it. The 80mm case fan blows air out, the PSU blows air out, and the CPU fan is blowing it's hot air directly toward the 80mm case fan. There's a front case fan sucking air in from the front of the case. The setup is much better, than before. Maybe I could push the cpu to 3.4GHZ now :)

  • What heatsink is that?

  • @kalijasin ZEROtherm BTF90 92mm Silent UFO CPU Cooler

  • Get a case with dust guards and you wont have to clean it out so much.

  • nice video

  • @xlegendqc87x So you turn it around, so it blows the hot air out? Like a vent or some shit?

  • @BvlletProofJ if you use a ''tower'' heatsink like in this video you should put the fan on the other side than what the guy in this video did so it push the hot air to the back of the case where the rear fan and power supply fan can get the heat out fast ... the way he installed the heatsink and the fan in this video hes pushing the hot air directly into the dvd drive cages which theres no exit for the heat to go out .Front case fans should also be air intake fan to bring cool air into the case

  • @xlegendqc87x The case fan on the back and on the power supply fan are blowing/sucking hot air out, They exhaust the heat, so he should switch the cpu heat sink fan around. He does not want to blow or trap any of that hot air around the heat sink. He should also set up a a high cfm 80mm fan on the front to blow cold air into the case. I do not see one on this set up. not should be high cfm as his case does not have room for a big 120mm. Besides, he now has 3 fans exhausting; equal things out.

  • i liked it

  • Nice video but I think I'll stick with my Koolance liquid cooled tower; seems to do a great job of keeping everything nice and cool. The cooling system covers my RAM, HDDs, CPU, Chipset & Video RAM/Chipsets!
