  • no multiple crashes? lame

  • what does the usb work for? would i be able to record with it by pluging in the usb cable to the computer?

  • i have a question...... would it be possible to use a ion drum module on a real kit?

  • I might consider buying this module. It looks like it will play decent sounds. Small Question though. Does the DM6 support Choking on crashes/rides?

  • Does it have threshold settings?

  • what kind of usb port is that?

  • where can i buy the cable snake

  • Would that go the same if i wanted to play like guitar hero on the drums like smash hits, world tour etc.. Would i still have to get the ion module and if so is it really easy to connect and stuff

  • Will I be able to buy and plug in an ION module to my real e-kit and play rock band with it?

  • can you use this as a stand alone drum machine? kinda middle of the road between the alesis 16 & the alesis 18?

  • does it have piano sounds or simmilar sounds for electronic music?

in the video u say that this can be connected either to a drum pad or to the game of rock band, is that true?

  • is there a 1/4" output on it anywhere? to plug into a audio interface

  • Is it possible to add more drums and cymbals?

  • what do use mean by the 'MIDI in, out/thru...can sum 1 plz tell me what this means and what it is used for cheers

  • Does this come with the ion drum kit upgrade pedal and stuff? Or do you have to buy the upgrade kit? And what is better? This or hte upgrade kit?

  • @RockBandParts Your Real Music Gear page doesn't seem to load correctly.

  • i got this drumset. it's great!

  • i was very suprised to go to my local music store for a piano lesson today, and discover that right in the showroom they have an ion kit set up with 3 cymbals and this alesis DM6 drum module! i actually got to try it out, and it must say, its actually not bad. i mean, its not comparable to a professional E-Kit, but for the money, especially if you already have the ion kit, its worth it

  • danny FC'ed Alesis DM6 Drum Module

  • no dude ur not funny

  • i have that exact brain but with ion trademarks...

  • hey does any1 know how i can get sponsership

  • alesis doesnt endorse people :( ive tried

  • @RockBandParts i have the $150 ion kit you offered a while ago will this work with it because it doesnt really have a module and i wanted to know if this would work with it.

  • Thats not RBP's fault, it's Ions fault.

  • I have a question, If I buy the actual full DM6 electronic drum kit, will I be able to play rock band and with it?

  • Not straight out of the box. You would need to get an ion module (we sell them on our site) - either xbox or playstation, whichever you have.

We will be adding the full drum kit to our site later today :)

  • No, not without any modification or Ion drum brain

  • No. It requires you to have a Midi Out, something the DM6 doesn't have. Gettting a USB to MIDI cable won't work either.

  • There is a wii set. check the site

  • Wont be out for a LOOONG time.

  • can a pad and a cymbal play different sounds even if theyre the same color?

  • Every pad plays a different sound. None of the wires are split - you have 1 wire for each pad/cymbal/kick

  • There are a few more differences than just that ... Sorry to hear you dont like your pro-sessions - I have been thinking about carrying them for a while cause people have asked for them.

  • cool

  • Does this support MIDI input? That way we can bridge the ion kit to 5 lane =X

  • @RustyWaffle

It supports MIDI via the USB port. You'll have to get a USB to MIDI cable/interface. I recommend the DM5 if you want direct MIDI support.

  • That won't work. In order to use a Edrumset on a GHWT set, you will need a MIDI out. Getting a USB to MIDI won't work because it won't transmit the correct signals.

  • @iciclepyro

I guess my original recommendation about getting the DM5 instead still stands. DM5 has MIDI In, Out/Thru and can be rack mounted.
