What is the total cost, installed and all? I got a quote from Susitna Energy this fall and they wanted over $20,000 for the unit on a 70ft pole, that was before install. If it could make 400 Kw/hr a month, that would roughly cover my electric bill, so saving about $750 a year. It would never pay itself off!
This wind turbine is on a 45ft Monopole. This skystream is rated to produce about 400 Kwh a month on a little over 12 mph average.
In Sterling the winds are not that high on avarage and tend to be more in the 8-10mph rage so the production is a little less than the 400mph. However, still producing clean energy for our communities!! :)
