I dont know huuuuummmm.?

@pbmdh They just look like they could be some kind of special effects. When I see a lot of the old ones they seem like optical effects of the time (80s, 70s), and then newer space/galaxy photos always somehow look more modern.
I don't know if that's just a difference in the photography. Maybe it's just because the cameras were old.

I think it's just special effects done in a laboratory, like using layers of glass, painting on them, shining lights behind it, and exposing multiple photos together.

At 1 mintute 8 seconds you will see The Trifid Nebula which is 9,000 light years from earth and is the birthplace of new stars. I used to think I knew what beauty was until i saw these pictures of our universe.
@guitarspring We don't. We have pictures of spiral galaxies that, unless we've made some grave mistakes, look very similar. For all intents and purposes though, we can assume that our galaxy looks like these other spiral galaxies.

If 2 peter 3:10 means that the literal Earth is to be destroyed by fire, then the stars and other heavenly bodies are also going to be destroyed. @futili Pictured at 6:24 is the west end of the Veil Nebula known technically as NGC 6960 but less formally as the Witch's Broom Nebula. The supernova remnant lies about 1400 light-years away towards the constellation of Cygnus. This Witch's Broom actually spans over three times the angular size of the full Moon. The bright star 52 Cygni is visible with the unaided eye from a dark location but unrelated to the ancient supernova.

The Universe is so amazing with all the unknown out there. It's SO beautiful and puts me in a state of happiness and content when ever I watch video's or see pictures of it. I wish I knew more when I was a kid I would have become an Astronomer, I am in Love with the Universe and in Awe on how big it is. But we don't even know if the universe comes to an end or what is past the universe. Does any one think of what possibly be beyond space, the universe! Is there beyond? Or is it endless?

@kabuuc i wouldnt call it a wast, but i would call it the unknown, like, but i think that even if we hadnt founf the space and all the wonderful things and evbeerything we see now with technologie, like, we would think the world revolves around us, because we as humans are just so consummed with ourselves, that, were onlyt afraid of the unkknown. i mean, if we werent afraid of the unknown, we would probubly be open to finding out about so much, so thank god for aobservers and astronomers

As a christian, I certainly do believe that in God´s almighty omnipresent hand this universe will instantly burn up and be replaced by another universe. The present universe is defiled by the fall of Adam, and all those nebula images that look like explosions, burning fire and smoke, perhaps is God´s way of telling us humans that we should not be so romantic about the present universe but should repent, so that we can be spared from being burned up together with the present universe.

God does not have anything against the physical universe or planet earth, which the Bible says "is standing even to time indefinite". the heavens show us visible proof God's "eternal power and Godship" mans downfall is not a reason to destroy the universe or earth. after all, a landlord will not destroy a house because of the behavior of the tenants

If 2 peter 3:10 means that the literal Earth is to be destroyed by fire, then the stars and other heavenly bodies are also going to be destroyed. This in in conflict with other texts such as Matthew 6:10, Psalms 104:5. Besides, what effect would fire have on the already intensely hot sun and stars? 2 Peter 3:7 clearly states what will be destroyed-the ungodly men
