  • ZILDJIAN!? MUSICALITY!? gtfo, all zildjians sound exactly the same, they have no actually musical differences because they are all machine made. Most of paiste's chinas are made using traditional methods, such as : lion style bell, hand shaping, hand hammering, hand lathing. Zildjians, and almost any other brand for that matter don't do it that way.

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls all cymbals are made by machine u silly i dont know where you people keep gettin this silly idea that they are hand made if they were made by hand each cymbal would cost freakin 5 thousand dollars and take a year to make lol

  • @napalmdeatho1 You realize that the bronze itself is a very cheap material, and also very abundant. If no work was done to a bronze sheet and was called a cymbal, it'd cost about 20 or so dollars, because bronze is about 5 bucks a pound. LOTS OF HAND WORK is done to a cymbal, and the fact that you said lol at the end of your sentence makes me not even take you seriously.

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls what a scrap yard pays for metal and what a cymbal manufacturer pays for refined raw materials are 2 different things. the majority of the work is done by machines. if machines were not used how long do you think it would take to make a cymbal to the specifications which they are made today? and how much do you think one would cost?

  • @napalmdeatho1 Im talking pure b20 bronze. Dude, seriously, if you think all cymbals are made by machines...you're just...SOO IGNORANT.

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls dude watch a freakin factory tour wtf stupid

  • @napalmdeatho1 I HAVE, ZILDJIANS FACTORY TOUR IS BASICALLY ALL MACHINES, PAISTE/SABIAN (cant find meinl) HAS HAND LATHING AND HAND HAMMERING!

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls

idiot, again drums are like ice cream, not everyone likes the same thing. But one fact is that Zildjian is oldest in the sabian meinl zildjian paiste category! and it has the most of all hand hammered, sabian aa is machine hammered, aax machine hand hammered, hh hand hammered, hhx machine hand hammered. xs20 machine, so on.. zildjian is the best!

  • @Tehfirter NONE of the Zildjians they're making are hand hammered...

  • @napalmdeatho1 dumbass

  • @HEYYitsMEyou haha yea u tell him

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls

    nice troll!

  • @Tehfirter Whatever, this guy makes no sense.

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls

this guy is pro, you see that to get to a 22" china to sound great, you have to hit it hard! If you want to play your cymbals with a fucking pencil to make it sound its okay! but i have paiste rudes and 2002 wilds and aax:s and i beat the heck out of them! cymbals are made for hitting, not for pussying it around with a fucking brush!

  • @Tehfirter What I mean by musical is not sounding generic and simple, musical as in complexity.

  • @Tehfirter i agreee!!! and if they brake its the sign that this symbal was not for the kind of music you play!

  • @mrbreakstuf Or, y'know... terrible technique...

  • The only thing that sounds better than this is any Paiste.

  • @xDrummingPiex sure if youre a beginner drummer who likes beginner sounding cymbals sounding all the same then yeah you would not be able to appreciate zildjians musicality lol

  • @napalmdeatho1 lol so true

  • you sure hate china cymbals do you? xD

well since im planning to get one mayself (for the second time) which china do you think is great regardless of the brand. I play rock, jazz, funk, and metal. thanks!

  • @athansauc i think the 16" china trash is a perfect all around china that will fit into many musical situations

  • @napalmdeatho1 i got a 14" sabian AAX mini china, and a 18" Zildjian Z3 and im going to pick this one up tomorrow !!! f*cking stoked!!!!!!!!!!! 22 baby!@!! sounds so crisp.. thanks for the inspiration Napalm :D

  • @kyleluvsDH where did you find one? they stopped making this back in 2007

  • @napalmdeatho1 lol i bought er used from a local music store for 175 ;D not bad for the price but i dont really like it :/ its to loud and just makes noise, i want a Hybrid now :P

  • @kyleluvsDH hey u shuld offer to sell it to youtube user "thejasob" hes looking for one

  • @athansauc personally i would recommend the oriental classic china its much less known but in my opinion sounds much better

  • dude how many china do you have?

  • @athansauc currently own 2 plan on getting a couple more when i have the extra money to spend haha

  • i've got the same china, it's just amazing :)

  • @rr5431 hell yeah it is best china ever made

  • dont follow through. bounce your stick right back.

  • at first, ithought you were hitting it with a wrench or some kind of metal tool...hahaha!

  • @masterbeat04 nope i used to use easton have since switched to zildjian sticks

  • FUCK WUHAN!!!!!!THIS IS THE SHIT!!!!!

  • @tolisdrums yeah but did u know zildjian says that they learned how to make chinas from the company of Wuhan?

  • @jesse17ful i think the result is what counts...companies will always trade information...

  • @tolisdrums true that

except for sabian and zildjian because they are rivals

  • @jesse17ful i inform you, if you do not know it yet, sabian were started when a son from the zildjian company took the secret alloy recipe and started a new company. still, sabian's headquarter is a Zildjian. they do not need to share information. sabian "copied" zildjian.

  • @tolisdrums its not a zildjian, they are rivals and still are

but they are the best cymbals in the world

  • @jesse17ful ok, it's your opinion, it's acceptable, i believe no one will ever learn how to make cymbals like zildjian...

  • @jesse17ful where did u hear that ridiculous information lolol

  • @napalmdeatho1 a guy named T

he talks to every cymbal makers out there

he has talked to zildjian and they even said that they learned how to make china cymbals from wuhan

  • @jesse17ful hes so full of shit dude lolol

  • @jesse17ful so did every other cymbal factory that makes chinas

  • @wp08021 I know

  • This dude hitting it doesn't know what tha fuck he is doing. You should never follow through. Learn how to retract.

  • @Justs99171 fuck you and what your drum teacher says

  • @napalmdeatho1 I don't have a drum teacher, but you're going to destroy that cymbal doing that.

  • @Justs99171 that cymbal is going to get no harm at all. that's the LOUD way to hit a china...and china trash cymbals are MADE to be loud.

  • @tolisdrums That is absolutely not true. You're not supposed to hit a cymbal on the edge and follow all the way through. The only thing not abrasive about this is the angle in which he is hitting it.

  • @Justs99171 hey man, he is not following...the cymbal retracts when hit...and the drumstick lowers and gets away before the cymbal comes back up...i position and play chinas exactly this way...none of them cracked or broke, neither my drumsticks had anymore than everyday wear. plus that if we was scratching and following the cymbal, it would be audible. and would choke sound. i don't see anything like this happen.

  • @tolisdrums I think this guy is more concerned with proper technique than any audible or visible result, and often the former is directly connected to the former. At any rate, following through on a stroke is improper technique.

  • @Justs99171 all cymbals are going to break eventually regardless. hitting them lightly may extend their life somewhat but if you don't plan on hitting large cymbals to their full volume potential, why not play with all 8 or 10 inch splash cymbals and just tap them???

  • @napalmdeatho1 no dude, he is right. ive never taken drum lessons and i know that. it wrecks the cymbals and makes them sound like crap

  • @Justs99171 Learn not to hit like a pussy

  • @spikeman23 How about I hit and and we see who is a pussy.

  • Stop that noice!

    :0

  • my 18 inch is so loud in person id imagine this.....

  • The loudest, trashiest, most brutal and best sounding china ever made, and you are gonna crack it open and never gonna be able to get a new one coz its discontinued,.......*sad face*

  • your neighbors must hate you

  • well you have to hit a china cymbal hard to get the trashy sound outta of it

  • @MrEmpiredrums mmmhmmmm

  • oh fuck! thats a nice china

  • @mypulsereverberates yea and in person too lol

  • way to slam that thing senseless.

  • @vernemszalka hell yeah full volume potential bro

  • im looking for a metal sounding china what kinda and type and size would you recoumend

  • @10yearsofdying try the 20" china trash

  • @mypulsereverberates yes they did and if you like wuhans thats fine with me haha

  • that is a nice sized china lol ....its like the same size as my ride but in china form!

  • that things amazing when it rings buddah comes out lol

  • @mypulsereverberates its not a jazz ride bro and it was discontinued cuz zildjian keeps raisin their prices so high so that no one can afford it anyway lol

  • i bought a 16 just last month and it already cracked on me. its ridiculous! cant beat the sound of zildjian though. i guess theres ups and downs between brands. zildjian cracks, but sounds godly, sabians are reliable but they sound like shit, paiste have only a selected few that are good soundwise, we could keep going down the list. lol

  • @crazzychrisp

what u talking about? the Sabian Paragon china has an awesome sound..

  • this was the second china ive ever bought and i got it about 8 years ago and it still doesn't have a crack in it....and still sounds amazing.

  • awesomeness

  • looks: beautiful

    sound: godly

trashiness: sounds like a junkyard (lol)

sustain: perfect (but could be shorter)

  • @DJJPLin

lol the junkyard thing made me laugh.. XD

  • omfg i watch that video 100000 times a day xD its so hard to hear that and there is no money to buy it

    *arghhg*

  • i want that shit i don't want the cheng cheng i want the sch sch its perfekt for metalcore breakdowns and stuff xD

  • man i wish they still made the 22 inch china. i would be one in a heartbeat:)

  • Quite nice.......I use an Alchemy 18" Raw myself which has a great sound. I will post a video response with me playing it if you want to hear it (The one on my right.......the one on my left is my Kahzan 14" mini china).

  • ma come cazzo ce vai sul china, cojone!

  • no comprendo wey lol

  • lol

  • 16" 20" sound the best for Zildjian***

  • the zildjian oriental trash 18" and 20" sound the best to me...the 22 rings out to much. btw wuhan makes a decent china for the price, they may not be the best but i love how trashy they are. Nice demo's

  • my 16 inch wuhan sounds better

  • hahahahahahahaha lol

  • u obvousluly dont no wat a china shoud sound like urs sounds like crap

  • yea i know dude wuhans the best cymbals in the world and zildjians are for chumps

  • wel wuhans chinas are the best out there......but in every thing else zildjian and sabian kick ass, but they both suck at making chinas

  • Meinl is good too with chinas and all...

  • oh my god that sounds AMAZING!!!!

  • hell yeah

  • it rings for ages and ages

  • that's part of the reason why it's so awesome

  • lars ulrich uses these right ???

  • yup!

  • I loooove the 16' , 18' and the 22' chinas.

Are these really the chinas the lars ulrich use ?

  • yea the 18" & 20" according to zildjian

  • Attack is awesome but i hate this metallic sustain

  • the sustain was one of the best part's of this cymbal.

  • I think the sustain is mainly caused by the camera's microphone. It's really not that loud compared to the attack, in person.

  • that's correct however it does ring out for much longer than most chinas

  • cuz they keep raising the dam prices every 6 months, bigger cymbals are more expensive so this one probably got so expensive no one can freakin afford it

  • i came :D

  • still can't believe zildjian discontinued this...

  • omg how much?!

  • got it for $205 back in 2005, sadly it cracked on me a few months ago and zildjian doesn't make it anymore. wish they still did cuz it's the best china i've ever played.

  • nice sound!

  • How come this 22" sound higher pitched than the 20"?

  • you must be confusing pitch with volume.

  • no hes not its same for me

  • well the 22" is louder and trashier but not higher pitched. it's just more bold and brutal haha

  • Cause not every cymbal is the same. I own 2 16" China trashes and they both have different pitches.

  • is one older than the other one?

  • thats my favorite type of cymbal

  • same

  • this is the sound i like man!

i was searching to a 22" china not used a lot time ago!

him sound is like the paiste traditionals medium light swish 22"? you know?where you bought it and what is him price ?

why this cymbal isn' t in the zildjian site?

somebody know where I can to hear this cymbal with hi quality sound?

  • it was discontinued a couple of years ago. this is the best sound quality you're gonna be able to hear unless you get ahold of one of these cymbals yourself.

  • but you bought it 2 years ago?

I'm brazilian so I think can' t buy it in my country, so I gonna try to buy in USA ...

can you to give me a tip to where I can buy this Cymbal?

or I can only to buy it ordering?

I do not want to buy it used because I bought some used cymbals, and their sounds are not the original sounds .. you know? but if don't have another way...

    appreciate the help!

forgive the errors of vocabulary, I don' t speak English very well..

    thanks!

  • actually i bought it in 2005. they don't make it anymore so you can only buy it used if you can find one.

  • thanks man!

I gonna searching it in e bay or some thing like this!

    really thanks for your help!

  • Did u get ur 20" inch yet? i cant wait to see it on youtube

  • did you watch the video? i hit it at a few different velocities if you couldn't tell...

  • nice china, i like em with rivets for more sizzle

  • i like zildjians chinas,and z custom crashes,but i have a old paiste 2000 sound reflections 16" power crash,and nothing can beat it.and i also have a 18" oriental :)

  • Very nice I love trashy chinas hope to find one with super fast decay with a nice pishh... attack

  • yea i loved this china. it just cracked on me a few days ago. it was 4 years old :(

  • Eeek I'm sorry for your loss :(

  • you're so lucky. mine lasted 4 months

  • yea i had a couple chinas that lasted me that long too...

  • thissound great when you put it on a kit. the sustain goes away and you har only the attack piece sort of (bad explanation)

  • i know what youre talking about

  • hey that's one fucking cool sound from that china :) isnt it?

  • hell yeah that's my favorite china

  • haha

  • i swear to god you have every cymbal ever.

do you own zildjian or something?

  • its like you have cracked a crash

  • nah chinas rule haha

  • can you get the 22's anywhere in england? i wont setle for a 18 or 20, nee the 22 :P sounds increible

  • zildjian discontinued it but there's one on ebay right now, ebay will probably be the only place you can get one...

  • i was gonna say music123 but they just discontinued it....i mean last week i found one but then it vanished :O

  • they just sound so horrible

  • yeah right haha

  • They sound great if you use them in the right places. You certainly don't use it as a regular crash then they would sound like shit.

  • i hate chinas!!

  • well put

and I do like paiste for their rides

since they have pretty bright sounding cymbals

and I like high pitched rides :]

  • yeah i like their rides.....the only one ive ever used is our high school ride...

  • Thats how it use to sound when my dad would whip my behind.

  • @LOUD7 indeed....

  • whats it called cuz on guitar center they only have oriental china trash's in 20" highest

  • yeah the 22" was discontinued in july 2007

  • that sux

  • like i said not a Zilsjian fan, but im still playing zildjian in a twisted way

  • Its a good cymbal alright cymbal - albeit that I'd prefer one with faster decay - but I have to ask, what drumstick is that? With the blue glow.

  • it's an ahead 5b rock drumstick. it's black i dunno about any "blue glow" that you are speaking of lol

  • i see the blue glow as well it looks blue lol loooks liek some graphite stick, but it must jsut be the camera or refelection of the china

  • How much did it cost?

  • I bought it in 2005 for a "closeout" price of $205

  • nah, i find that i can never get the sound and feel i want from them. Especially hi hats. I play Sabian now, which was founded by Avedis Zildjian...but in an ideal world id be a Paiste guy

  • Sabian was founded by Bob Zildjian in the early 1980s when he had a fall-out with Armand.

  • damn, your really nailin' that thing.

    hahaha

  • i played it at different velocities to get a different sound

  • It sounds like a vortex or something, after the hit it just keeps resonating louder.

  • hmmm interesting perception. it's probably just the camera...

  • surely is the cam.

  • im not a zildjian fan but this is a nice china

  • you are now a fan of zildjian haha
