I'm sorry, but if you are looking past getting any actual muscle gain on your legs, your gonna need heaps better then bodyweight exercises, heck, these guys didn't even mention donkey calf raises, and instead posted some dangerous bullshit. Makes you wonder why these calisthetic people never show their lower body,
@plethoranz I thought so too, but like you, I was misinformed. You can apply the same force to your body weight, as you do to a barbell, explosive reps come into play. I like to go heavy on my squats, but I also train with lighter weight twice a month and work for speed. But if you are squatjumping onto a ledge, then doing a pistol squat on it, the sheer speed/explosiveness and volume(assuming you do lots of them) will more than cover the hypertrophy.
@plethoranz But I agree with you on the dangerous bullshit for calf raises. I would not think that it is safe to point your toes too far out, or inward...
@Kelpwoud What is true strength and whats the point of getting true strength, I think these exercises are hard enought, no weights just body weight, you dont know what a bar brother is? :S
as much as I think barbell squats are the way for great legs, this has to be the best and most creative bodyweight leg tutorial I've seen. you all have decent leg development for just doing bodyweight exercises.
