I think that Kaberle is a good trade , yes he's costy but if he becomes good like he was in toronto i think hes a solid 4.25m guy (obviously until Markov's return). Spacek was going nowhere at 37 so i guess its a good trade , Kaberle got 2assists today one on the PP. I think hes ALOT better than diaz/weber/plekanec on the blueline wheter he plays at his best or not. What i think should be done is wait until the trade deadline to see if Markov returns. If he does trade Kaberle

Darche won't and shouldn't leave Montreal. He's a solid fourth-liner, can play nearly any scenarios, gives it all on the ice, loves being in Montreal, a leader in the dressing room and he's a fan favourite. He's not a necessity but he's totally worth every penny of his contract.

Gomez, Gionta, Markov, Kaberle... All "has been" and expensive players.The canadiens should take care of young folks with potential like St-Denis, Leblanc, Eller and Pacioretty.These guys are the future. Gorges and Plekanec are also reliable.If the Habs want to upgrade their defence, they should gain someone like Marc Methot (young, doesn't fear physical play, defensive, cheap but reliable).And anyway, there's a young virtuoso called Nathan Beaulieu coming soon so what's the point with Kaberle?

I believe Markov can make practically any player better and he did it with Komisarek. So you can't compare Kaberle to Komi. I think the powerplay will work very well with these two together. If of course Markov comes back like he was. Gauthier had to do something and Jaro did absolutely NOTHING on the p.p. Good luck to Kaberle!

With Kaberle and Gomez here for another 2 years after this year that takes a huge cap hit. In the mean time you are going to have to sign Patches - Kostitsyn - Price - Gorges - Subban and Eller.

Patches is going to be around 3 Mil - Kostitsyn 3.5 - Price 4.5 5 - Gorges 3 - Subban 2.5 3 - and depending how well Eller does 1 to 2.5 mil.. No one will trade for Gomez no matter how bad to the floor they are, a team will pay a player alittle more then trade for a gomez AKA Florida Bergenheim.
