nice 940 dude. just picked up a 940BK from the local gun show for $140. And i cant find it anywhere else for less than $180. I got a steel. Pun intended.
Thanks for the fast response. Now i'm limiting my options to this and a random leek. I found a 940 for $90 so I think i'll be posting a video of it fairly soon :).
I know you've heard it a million times, but it does really depend on what you'll be doing with the knife. If it was just for overall usefulness day to day, I'd get the 940. It's nice, isn't cumbersome to carry around in any kind of attire, including slacks, and has what I would consider as a better blade steel. If you plan on doing outdoorsy things with the knife, I'd probably go for the ZT in that case. Way more rugged and bigger, and will handle heftier tasks a lot easier.
Trust me man, its a 940, the handle only looks black in the video. Take a closer look when I compare it with the Vulcan, the handle should appear more green against the actual black handle of the other knife.
i have the new version of this knife, with the s30v blade steel, serrated and with the black finish on the blade, great knife, keep it away from fingers :P
wow man... ordering a knife like that for a friend... my birthday is coming up and im saving up for my own personal treat, a benchmade 530 plain edge.. the 5 ounce mel pardue knife has caught my eye.. new graham sells it for 62.50 and i think im actually gonna spend my money on a seperate ps3 controller since thats my gift
abfuckingsolutely cool and cute. I wanna get one, and what is the other knife in the video which looks very aggressive and of combat-desinged knife. Can I use bm940 as a SD knife, I mean is the handle slippery or can you countrol it well while stab and slash? I intend to use it as an EDC knife, and SD is only part of the usage but its essential.
I also wanna order a spyderco c36 military and a BM 426 hybrid and/or 912d2/913d2. Any suggestions and opions would be appeciated. thanks lot:)
The other knife in the video is a SOG Vulcan. Yes, I would say the handle is quite grippy. It is anodized aluminum and the finish on it is actually kinda rough. Of the 3 you wanna order, I'd recommend any of them, they are all very good knives.

942's are near impossible to find. However would you recommend the one in the vid(940) or a kershaw ZT 200?

That's a 942, not a 940. Almost identical, but with the black handle it's called a 942.

Great knife, really thinking about getting it. How much did you pay for it?

I don't remember what I paid, but I got it from newgraham(dot)com for a pretty good price.

I ordered a Benchmade Model 940 for one of my friends a few days ago (plain edge, satin finish).
Let's see how this interesting knife performs.
S30V...yummy! :)

Hi,
the 530 is quite a nice and lightweight knife. I often thought about buying. Maybe I will buy the knife sometimes in the near future?
"Small", lightweight... good material mix... = perfect EDC? I'll think about it.
Currently I'm waiting for a new Spyderco with (most likely) CPM-M4 steel to arrive ^^

I have one osborne! But my blade is black and has another form. it is more narror than this...to stab its better!
The sharpness of this S30V-steal is perfectly and for a long time!!
