  • Sorry I dont see a new-gen helicopter there...

  • @polecat987 shut up bloody idiot

  • @polecat987 have you read aviation history? The PAK-FA fighter IS a new generation aircraft totally different from say the MiG-29 or the Su-35 this helo not it just an upgraded version period.

  • Russians are not pussies when it comes to engineering, they build shit strong, big and last for ever.

  • @DigitalExplosives Yeah they did in the Soviet days. Now when you have every south caucasus, kazakhstan, uzbekhistan, Tedjikistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, etc etc Immigrating to Russia... Wanna bet they build strong anymore? Hahaha...

  • that's a tough reporter-eta that can stand out in cold under that fan. tough Russian woman!

  • Sikorsky's new X2 helicopter is so revolutionary... it has two rotors and no tailrotor. After 50 years of bashing Soviet choppers they quietly copied the design.

  • Dang that's pretty quiet for a dual Helix Chopper

  • Problem with Russian stuff is that they delay a lot and they also have poor serviceability! India is also making its own helicopters now with the ALH and LCH comeing out i think Russia needs to work harder to build better stuff!

  • @KarthikSoun I dunno man. The Russians have made some very Reliable stuff The Mi-8 is a time proven helicopter. The only reasons for it to crash is if the parts obtained for it are Local made knock offs like if it were made in some ex soviet country.

  • @KarthikSoun

Are you kidding Russian helicopters are legendary. I don't think India can develop anything to complete in near future.

  • @dusq123 yes russian helios are legendary! We use a lot of them, they are the best for hard and tough jobs! But recent issues between russia and india on weapons quality like the Vikramaditya carrier and many other deals are not satisfactory becoz of delay and quality! India is doing its own helicopters like ALH and LCH which are doing well in the market too now. Russia is ahead and we which it well.

  • The Russians have again made some remarkable aircraft. I like also the idea of producing the finished product from one plant at one location. That would reduce costs for transportation and labour. Good job Russkies!!

  • @bluevoltaire

Actually their car isn't so bad

    @HomoGnosticus

Learn more about, and then post your ignorant comments

  • Counter rotating concentric drive shafts? Isn't this tech dated and unreliable? I thought this was why this drive type never gained mass appeal, high maintenance.

I mean is the probem of "ground crew walking into tail rotors" so prevalent that the development of a rotor-less chopper stands to revolutionize the industry?

  • @RoidinRichie .....YEAH AMERICAN IS BEST.....AMERICAN DEBT......AMERICAN OBESITY.......AMERICAN STUPIDITY.......AMERICA LEADS THE WAY IN EVERYTHING....YEP

  • but americas best in stupidity

  • American products are garbage just like their unreliable and over priced cars..!!

  • Ford has a higher reliability rating than Toyota, as stated by independent testing companies

oh yeah and who's recalling millions of cars around the world? honda and toyota

    Ford licences technology to nissan

    ouch

  • Independent testing from American Corporations? Lmao What a moron. Ford has had more recalls and defects than any Car Manufacture in the US for the last Decade. Mercedes BMW Lexus Infinity Audi Toyota Honda Hyundai Nissan Kia American Car Manufactures dont even compare to Foreign Imports. That is why even Americans buy Foreign cars instead of American made garbage. Enough said..!!
  • wow way to lie there, completely false

    you're sad really.

Ford's sales were higher than anyone else last month

  • @RoidinRichie, Toyota is waaaay better than Ford. Everyone knows the US is playing a dirty smear campaign against the successful Japanese car companies.

  • Most 'American' products are made in China.

  • kewl birds~

  • bird is the word

  • You are retarded dumbass, Russia is a leading weapons supplier, and they first invented coaxial rotors system, its when one pair of helicopter rotors mounted one above the other, by the way US use helicopters invented by Russian Igor Sikorsky.

  • Coaxial rotors were invented by France and helicopters in general by Germany. Stop talking bullshit.

  • @HomoGnosticus you say helicopters invented by Germans? - I did not know that - I thought that helicopters were invented by Sikorsky who was Russian ingeneer but immigrated to USA in 1920-s...the same about flying boats by the way...but first Sikorsky's plane "iliya Muromets" was built by him in Russia in 1915 and at that moment it was the biggest in the world...after ww1 Sikorsky immigrated to USA to construct choppers ...the President of the United States airforce 1 chopper is "Sikorsky"

  • @Ura293

Ultimate thing that makes helicoters usable is SWASHPLATE - invented by Juriev in 1911

  • thanks

  • Stupid Worthless Yank

you think many would buy Overpriced Junk ?? LOL

Your Products are failing and cesspool of Outsourcing

Even your fat citizens prefer Toyota and other Japan made cars, your hi so called hi tech innovations are put on hold to lower your Deficits and 13 Trillion Public Debt. :))

  • What does the USA export anymore? I can't think of one product "Made in USA!" that is the best in the world. Seriously, outside of military aircraft and guns, what does America make that is worth a shit? The only thing the US exports these days is death and propoganda-laced entertainment. If you know of something else, I'm all ears.

  • I wish Americans stuck together as citizens and pride themselves on what they do, not how much money they make. Almost like its being manipulated that way , never really have power, just money.

  • @earthsbullsh

    Mc Donalds? lol

  • @zizzy007 - nope.

"Since its inception, McDonald's Israel is owned and run by Israeli businessman Omri Padan."

    -Wikipedia

  • Our primary export is paper with fancy writing on it.

  • start with the computer you use for connecting to the internet, dumbass

  • America makes some good computers, granted. However, most of the components are made abroad. Nike's HQ may be in Oregon, but their shoes aren't American made.

  • @faceclutch hahah stupid dremer

  • Which is why 40% of the worlds arms market is dominated by Russian weapons.

  • We excel in military share of the market. We DO desperately need to find a niche in civilian market. Anything would do for starters. If it would be a heli market - so be it!

  • stinger>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Boom!

  • suck Taliban cock AmeriCUNT pig

  • @TheVMFA333

Theres a very similar fate awaiting American helicopters. Except these have a very unique flak jetisoning piece of equipment, so I'm afraid that stinger is gonna blow up a 2 inch piece of metal rather than it's Russian target.

  • India always opt for Russian hardware because they come with design blueprint to manufacture indigenously in India - like Sukhoi-MKI fighter,Brahmos missile,New stealth Sukhoi PAK FA bomber etc.USA cannot be trusted. They will withhold parts, has high price and change their support according to their liking.

  • I hope and pray the Russians win the 200 units tender with India as they should.

  • They always have made the best and most unique heavy lift helicopters.

  • Well I'll sit here in my comfortable Canadian home while the U.S and Russia speak against each other.

  • go russia!

  • Nice

  • Russians / Soviets make the best helicopters .

  • Sorry Dear, cant hear yea, to noisy, .very cool choppers though, good luck to the company. :XD

  • we will fight for our rights government land of the free always

  • she (Reporter) should duck her head, the rotor of the chopper will cut her head off

  • I want five.one for each part of Europe.

  • Seems to me americans not have any thing else in head then weapon. And this laser plane look just silly..

  • @StefanAxelWels gauss weapons cost to much so yea were equal with russian tech...for now

  • pew pew

  • well if the targets of those laser airborne are covered with mirrors ?lol

  • it leads it for now. And another thing - the arms race has never stopped.

  • Why do you think so? Soviets has its Beriev A-60 long time ago. Officially reported as a laboratory platform, but they tested they ABL successfully much sooner. In fact their A-60 first flight was more than 2 decades ago compared to YAL-1. However today they need to re-equip the A-60 with more powerful laser as the missiles today have thanks to the composites better ability to dissipate the heat imposed on them by external laser source.

  • @And1Calvin

"New" Airborne Laser? Sorry to disapoint you but Soviet Airborne Laser (Beriev A-60) worked in 1970s - and those times we learned that lasers in athmosphere are amost USELESS - aspecialy in terms of cost-efficency. Of cource for Pentagon it is NOT important - what is important for them in to impress average ignorant taxpayers with cool-looking stuff - TO DRAIN MORE MONEY out of them

  • @MarshallJukov LOL,actually the yanks n the russians av been testing lasers in the late 60's to the late 80's,when soviet union collapse, the yanks almost abandon its laser program until the chinese military build-up av cause some officials in the pentagon to re-open other top-secret programs to stay ahead of the chinese n rest of the world, but saying russia tested laser back in 70's is kinda bullshit innit, brits also av tested its own laser back then.

  • @MarshallJukov oh,i think you just mad the yanks almost av a operational military laser while the russians is behind 10 yrs in terms of airborne laser that shoots down nuclear missiles, dont say russia gonna build 1,LOL,actually russia doenst av the economic might to field advance military programs anymore, heck, there new stealth fighter is funded wit the help from the indians, also, the yanks just lauch n space military craft last week,i bet russia gonna counter in 2015,to late to the party eh.

  • @fmoa

Actualy you can spare your irrelevant babblings. Look up for Beriev A-60 which flew 20 years BEFORE Yal-1, Look up for Terra-3 and what happened to Space Shuttle on october 10 1984. Look up for Skif-DM

While Reagan talked about Star Wars too much - USSR already had one))

And sorry - X-37 is only test vehicle and was launched using Atlas-V which uses RUSSIAN RD-180 engines)))

As for stealth aircrafts - entire "stealth" tech originates into USSR - look up for Peter Ufimcev

  • @MarshallJukov Thats at the strength that was available to your 70's tech. The airborne lazer is feasible now, its just not as cost effective yet.

  • @tube2a

A-60 was same megawatt class as YAL-1, in some aspects its even more advanced.

In fact USSR pioneered lasers (and LED too), and always had upper hand here. Google Terra-3 for example or Skif-DM

  • @MarshallJukov lol, lasers were invented in the US.

  • @hotpocketpoison

Nope. In was Nikolay Basov and Alexander Prokhorov - they created major principles of simulated emmision and built first quantium generator (maser) in 1954. Before Townes built it independently. All of them got Nobel prize in 1964.

  • @MarshallJukov actually, a MASER is very different from a LASER.(the first MASER was invented by Charles Hard Towns in 1953). a LASER uses infrared light, and Theodor Harold Maiman invented the first one in 1960.(both of the listed people were american)

  • @hotpocketpoison

Actualy MASER of Towns didn`t worked in 1953 and it was only single level impulse system. Basov and Prokhorov began to built their MASER in 1953 (just as Towns) and made it in 1954. It was two level and continous operation. Complete principles of MASER was published by Basov and Prokhorow on conference in 1952.

The only principial difference between MASER and LASER is that LASER emmit in part of electromagnetic spectre which belongs to the light. Laser is sub-species of MASER

  • @hotpocketpoison

Not to mention that Basov first to create a theory and built laser diodes.

Just as first LED was built in USSR either.

  • @And1Calvin

How is one plane going to stop 11, 000 + missiles? It can't. This isn't weaponry, it's a civilian utility helicopter that will work great for everyday purposes. What is with you violent Americans who think war first and don't actually look into things later?

  • LOL at the moron Yank

  • hi kat ,,:)

  • they look like flying ambulances...kewl
